  • Theme Relevance: I would give five here but my first go through of the game I beat it without dying and had no idea what this game had to do with the theme then I read the itch page and realized. The way the theme was interpreted was very creative and I thought it was fun and cool my one problem is that the gimmick that ties to the theme isn't required. Innovation: It is a simple platformer but the way the gimmick of coming back as dead works with the obstacles is just awesome in my opinion. Sound Effects: Nothing about the sound effects really stood out to me they were what I expected from a pixel art platformer and they did their job just fine. Music: Same as I said for the sound effects no real notes its what I expected and it did its job. Effort: A clear effort was put into the different ideas of obstacles to interact with the gimmick making the game feel more finished and the gimmick feel greatly incorporated. Creativity: How the gimmick interprets and uses the theme I find awesome and also the addition of little dialogues to better display to the player how things are flipped is also a pretty creative solution. Pixel Art: The pixel art is extremely simplistic and more than does the job and also doesn't hurt my eyes to look at. Fun to Play: I found the levels difficulty ramp up really smooth and nice, nothing felt like a big leap and if there was more I would definitely play it. Overall Presentation: Itch page did all it needed to explained the controls in a simple manner, explained the gimmick, and wasn't overly long or complicated.

Awesome game with an abundance of cool mechanics! The first transition got me ahh, so you cannot lose? Though, switching the layout on transition--spikes become harmless and grass becomes spikes etc--is very clever. By the way, I encountered something I thought could be a bug, so I recored it in case you want to check out: https://imgur.com/a/eTsaAJ3 I couldn't figure out what killed me as a zombie at the end of the clip.

Very neat game, I like the concept of being able to win as one of two conditions. Very creative!
