would it be against the jam's rules to base your own yume nikki fangame's worlds/characters/effects/setting on another game? all the art/music/text will still be made by me. the game I want to make would be also a fangame of path to nowhere
From past jams, we do have a few YNFGs based on existing media, so it is indeed possible. The usual jam rules do apply, of course. If the source material does have any written policies or guidelines on derivative works however, do take them into consideration.
