I have seen so many polished, rock-solid pico-8 games from you that I sometimes take them for granted. This is another one with the signature Achie charm and craftsmanship!

I love this concept, and your implementation is really satisfying - particularly the scoring. If I could have any quality-of-life changes, they would be the ability to see the rules alongside the gameboard (so I can stop flipping back and forth) and maybe a "par" score for a generated level, so I can guage whether I am improving over time.

But without any changes, this is a pico-8 gem! It was one of my most-anticipated entires, and it did not dissapoint! I continue to be a big fan of yours!

I really like the concept! It is fun to play, good music, good visuals!

I feel like this would have benifited greatly from having the help for the currently placing object be onscreen while it's being placed, or even just a what placing in the current square would do to ones score. It would make learning the game much easier.

Charming and creative game! The concept is original and I loved the chill, arcade-y vibe ! Only thing is it tooks some time to understand how everything works

Game did not start by click the "0" or "o" key as stated. Font is illegible.

Developer

The game starts with the O button of the PICO-8 control scheme, which is marked as keyboard C in the description. Will try to make a new font next time!

Cool game!  I also did a game about things liking their neighbors, so it was cool to see the different approaches.  Loved the graphics and feel of the game, everything was really well polished and felt great.  I liked the bit of ambiguity and not knowing exactly how I had done until the end, maybe the 1 piece of feedback that wouldve been nice up front was just the check radius, it was hard to know in advance if the sun was going to look at a 5x5 box or more of a circle shape.   Great work!

Developer

It was really cool to see someone else’s take on it! Super well done! It is a nice catch though, I should have included a better description for it! Glad you enjoyed!

The game is very cute, it could be awesome to see in advance the score/point given by a case.

Good job👍👍

Developer

Not sure why I scrapped that idea while development, will see if I can make it a setting toggle, because I enjoy the “minimal” nature of the gameplay (not many highlights, numbers etc…)

The game is really cool althought a little complex to grasp ! Maybe a full tutorial could've been welcome, loved the sfx tho !

Developer

Thanks for the kind words, tutorial was in min mind, I just ran out of time, because started late. Me being a doofus and forgetting jam start time. Will see if I can make one in the future!

That really put me in an arcade mood that so cute! And I particularly love the sound when the game calculate the score!

Developer(+1)

Super glad to hear that! Trying to emulate the arcade experience is always a goal of a PICO-8 game! Cool to hear it achieved that!

pretty jood jame good game but scoring is confusing and i think it would benefit from some difficulty modes (the higher the difficulty, the more object types there are) its hard to remember all the things at once

Developer(+1)

I’m not really planning on doing difficulty settings, but will keep this in mind in the future when planning more additions to it! Thanks!

Really good game! from here, i would probably just add more things, maybe make a tutorial, and add more sound effects!

Got a score of 106. Don't know if that's good, but I had fun! It took quite a while to figure out what I was supposed to do, but I eventually got into the flow. Super creative idea and very thorough execution. I especially like the musical noises that play when it's counting your score.

Developer

106 from what I’ve seen is generally a good score, but really depends on the daily seed! The goal of the game for me was to create a nice chill experience you can come back daily to. Thanks for the kind words! Glad you liked it!

Pretty cute little game, it was very relaxing and I loved the graphics! I got stuck for like 5 minutes on the menus though I couldn't read the font  at all but after I figured that out it was great!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! I’ll try to make a font next time as this is the builtin PICO-8 one.

Cute game! Some of the fonts/descriptions were a little hard for me read though, however could just be me

Developer

Glad you like it! Sadly the default PICO-8 font does read hardly for some. Will try to make an eligible one next time!
