Great idea, well executed - but I found even the easiest level slightly to fast. Never underestimate how much your players will suck at first, and so give a slow ramp up in difficulty. Most players are willing to wait a little for things to get hard for them, but some players (myself included) don't have the patience to 'get good' if it starts hard.

Fair point, appreciate it! Not having anyone else test it certainly didn't help haha, will make sure to do that next time! Thanks for checking it out!

Super fun! I really like the concept and idea, though the key movements were a bit confusing at times. Still, I really enjoyed the experience :D

Developer

Thank you! Yes for sure, I even messed up a couple times because of it but wasn't sure what a better option would be for this layout. Appreciate you trying it out!

The core of the player having move around tiles is always cool and nice to see, yours makes a nice iteration on the classic idea. I got confused a bit on the movement having to press left to go right on the bottom part of the map feel weird, but I know why you did it this way. Visuals and sfx were nice, well done!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Yeah that was the only way that made sense in my head, not sure if there was a better option to lessen confusion for people.

Really nice game ! Cool idea, maybe more gameplay like a other colors would be amazing !

Developer

Thanks! And for sure, if I had more time I had a couple other ideas I wanted to test out but that's the nature of game jams lol. Appreciate the feedback!

Quite hard but fun :) I like that you added customization options

Developer

Thank you! It's one of those things I made for testing purposes and figured I'd leave it in as a feature in case people want to customize their experience a bit.

You figured well! I don’t know if that’s intended but in “Randomized Zones” mode, blue and red zones mix into purple zones that I believe damage both the player and the boss. That’s cool. If you were to continue developing the game, adding more colors and mixing them together could be a fun mechanic

Developer(+1)

Randomized zones can have overlap since it just keeps picking any random zone and does not care if the zone is already active. It something I just threw together when I got tired from the main game and it was not meant to be fair/balanced lmao, but yes if I thought it through having mixed zones where you both take and deal damage might make for some interesting decisions! I like the way you think haha.

Game works. It is quite hard.

Developer

Thanks for checking it out! Appreciate the feedback, probably should have had some playtester input ahead of time since I got pretty comfortable with the system through development haha.

Who's the boss now? Great game

Developer(+1)

Haha! Thanks for playing!

The game has a lot of  potential ! Maybe some juice (SFX or screen shake) would make it really great ! Good game for a Jam !

Developer(+1)

Thank you! For sure, I had a few ideas to add the icing to the cake but ended up running myself a bit too thin to add them in.

FFXIV Raid Simulator. But only one person sucks at positioning here instead of eight

Developer

Haha yea! Definitely a bit of inspiration from mmos/rabbit and steel.

I really love how it felt rhythmic and was simple to understand but still fun! The music was also really cool too!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words! And yes nojisuma makes some great music!
