I really liked the art style and music for the game. The chimes while the level builds were my favorite part of the game. It felt a little slow to iterate on the puzzle since you couldn't move things and had to wait on the animation and explanation to appear before trying each level again.  Overall it was an interesting take on the theme and the color theory was appealing!

Congratulations on your submission! Very creative game. The core game loop is really fun. I also loved the music.

Here are my thoughts on what you could improve:
- Remove the animation when you restart a level. When creating puzzle games you want to allow players to iterate fast and try out different solutions. Having to wait for each level to re-construct itself after a failed attempt kinda breaks the flow of the game.
- Some puzzles could be completed without using all the available tools. If this was intentional, it's fine, otherwise maybe you want to limit the players' options.
- Hitboxes can be a bit confusing which may mislead players towards unfeasible solutions.
- It would be nice to be able to reposition each element we put, without having to restart the level.
- Just make more of it :) I think if you polish this game, more people would like to play it.
Of course these are my personal opinions, so feel free to keep what works for you.

Very creative game with neat abstract art! The sound design was fun and whimsical too. I love a good puzzle game!

Very original choices! I liked the level design a lot, I had some moments where I had to do a double take and redesign my approach, and those a-haa moments were the best part of my playtime imo.
The graphics were nice, and did not take away from the gameplay

The music was original, but after a while of playing I was getting bored of the sound that played once the player was moving. I really liked the chimes before the level, though.

The mood was excellent. The graphics & sound design really played to the abstract & weird aesthetic of the game.

All in all I enjoyed the game and got to puzzle my brain, so great work!

Some quality-of-life changes, if they would fit the narrative, would be to
1) reposition the gameplay elements after they have been placed
2) adjust the player to progress a bit faster, sometimes if I had redone a level for a few times I was starting to feel a bit impatient when looking at the little guy struggle to the finish : )

Very well done level design! You're introducing the player to increasing complexity one step at a time, but even the early levels weren't too easy (for me, I'm a total puzzle dummy).
I was confused by the intro cutscene(?) at the start and was trying to figure out the controls, partly because it felt very long. The second cutscene I witnessed, just before the cave(?) level was nice.
I like the abstract art style and the fact that the style is rasterized pixel art, but placing control elements is actually continuous. Felt like an unusual, but welcome, degree of freedom. The music fits the aesthetics well, too.

As someone who almost never plays puzzle games, I don't feel competent to make any suggestions for improvement, but I had fun! Good work!

hey, thanks so much for playing and commenting. This is my first game and I’m so so so beyond thrilled that people are playing it, and even more so that they are giving me feedback. I do agree about the first Cutscene, I wasn’t exactly sure how to handle it because tbh I didn’t love the idea of putting a title menu before the cutscene. It felt kinda cool to just drop right into the world. Before I had the cutscenes it just started at level 1 and I wanted that initial cutscene to act as a guide on how the game was about to go down. Do also agree that the initial one may be a bit long.

Glad you had fun, not sure exactly what Rasterized is, and also glad to be learning and absorbing the feedback!
