this one is beautiful! love the bittersweet ending.

my first playthrough the music wasn't working (headphone error on my end, nothing wrong with the game). this gave me the perfect excuse to play it again! this time i tried to get all the collectibles (i ended up with 9), and picked up on a lot more of the foreshadowing

the art is absolutely marvelous! music is great to, though sometimes sound effects would clash with it in weird ways (i think the star-collecting sound was the main culprit). i've already touched on it a bit, but the story was very well-executed. the collectibles provided enough of a hint to what was coming that i started to have growing suspicions towards the end (even missing some of the more obvious ones, like the horse drawing). i liked the other things that tied in at the end too, like the "j. dove" payoff

i thought the minigames were great! some of them i took a few tries to get the three stars, but i got them eventually. then on my second go-around, i got the hang of them enough to get them all first try c: the stars felt fair, though the first game didn't seem to have a failure point? i intentionally tried messing up (raking and shoveling in the wrong order) and still got three stars. that doesn't seem bad (especially for the first game, and an introduction to the stars mechanic) but it threw off a bit, haha

Thank you so much for playing! Especially that you played two times ohh wow <3

The intention with the stars was to show that they are not that meaningful in the end, so being unaible to fail is also some kind of foreshadowing :D But I get your point that it may seem to be a bit off! We will probably look into that.

And thank you for mentioning weird sound clashing! We didn't spend much time on polishing this part of the game, so it will be a good thing to polish a bit more :)

Nice game. I liked how you pay attention to the details, which fits the mood of the game very well. Only one suggestion comes to my mind: Sometimes when you switch scenes back and forth, like looking into the drawer and back outside, things suddenly changed. Perhaps it would be nice if she speaks about it or mentions that she fetched/prepared some things. I think it might support the flow of events well. Hopefully, this makes sense.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! The idea of adding some connections between events makes lots of sense, we will take it into account while polishing the game :)

Nice looking game but how do you get to the garden.  It looks like there are patio doors out to the garden, but they don't click at least for me?

Also, when I got the gardening tools where did they go?

Could use some UI elements to show items in inventory or recently picked up?

Thanks so much for playing!

Getting to the garden: There are five gardening tools to discover in the house. Once you’ve picked up the last one, the patio doors in the main room light up and become clickable. If you’re unsure whether you’re missing something, glance at the quest calendar on the living-room wall—it updates every time you collect a tool.

Where did the tools go? They’re automatically stashed in your character’s backpack; you won’t see them in-game, but they’ll pop into your hands as soon as you step outside. We kept the UI minimal on purpose, but…

UI plans: We’re prototyping a small hint system and clearer visual cues for interactive objects, so moments like this feel more obvious. An on-screen inventory read-out is on our “maybe” list—your feedback helps us prioritise.

If anything’s still unclear, drop us a line and we’ll help. Happy gardening!

If there was a UI/UX tool N of 5 collected status prompt that would make it way easier to do.  Or a visual tools collected box with 5 slots.

This was quite interesting. Love your variety of minigames and the art style. The narrative is very engaging, and the story keeps you going throughout the game.

Various bits of information scattered throughout, along with collectibles, add more realism to the story and build immersion. It feels polished.

I keep wondering if the story has alternative endings.

Thank you so much for your feedback!

There is only one ending, because the game is intended to tell a certain story of a certain family :)
