Awesome game! Pretty hard tho. I managed to get to 00:30. It's late now, but tomorrow I'll try to beat this game
I was a bit confused at the start but once I got the hang of it I became so addicted with the game! I love it so much!
I enjoyed the management aspect of this game a lot! Very cool concept!
Really cool game, very atmospheric, well done :D
Decided to interpret the jam limitation so that the player himself tries to understand the rules of the game, so at first it may not be clear.
Thanks for the art!
I love this take on the theme !! The music and the graphic style are also very cool, and the game manages to keep a difficulty both hard and playable :))) Good job !!!!
Loved the atmosphere, the poems and the art-style! Found myself really wanting does little dudes to be safe. However, I found the gameplay a bit cryptic, as in I wasn’t sure what some of the actions did.
this was really cute and chill to play. love those little guys
This was really fun to play late at night bc the vibe of the game is so eerie but so good! I liked how you made the different roles for the little guys, but I wish there were a few more enemy types, after a while the combat became kinda stale. Also I know some games try to go for a more slower-paced style but sometimes the pauses in gameplay when I was just waiting just left me kinda bored. However, the ending and how the colors change is also a really nice touch though, along with the sound design. Nice work!
Really fun game. Also, great visuals.
I love this! Did miss a bit of things to keep my attention and dopamine spikes, but very well executed!
Really liked the game, especially the art and atmospherics. Gameplay was good, love these type of games, but the last hour portion was a little bit rough I think.
What do you mean about "last hour portion was a little bit rough" about difficult or mechanics? Can you explain in more detail?
The darkest before the dawn part was a bit rough because since it sends back all your units to the base, the warriors all ended up taking up more fire at once and since no gatherers were getting wood, it just started a spiral of resource depletion that seemed to be impossible to recover from and the fire went out since the economy crashed, at least in my game.
It's sad that I couldn't balance it properly. I wanted the end of the game to be on the egde of survival. Tell me, was it clear that the embers consume fuel just like the bonfire? The idea was that you need to sacrifice some embers to reduce fuel consumption and survive the last minute
Game was great! Dw about it - yes, it was clear that embers consume fuel, especially warriors and balancing that is key - it just all comes together VERY quick in the last segment and up to that point I’d never sacrificed any ember and my economy was fantastic so I had no idea how and the collapse was too quick to figure it out on the fly
Updated the game:
1) Fixed volume sliders;
2) When winning, there should no longer be a situation of imminent defeat;
3) Corrected the balance, it became a little easier to play.
The initial version is available via download.
The atmosphere in this game is amazing! Gets a bit hard to manage everything when all the nearby woods are burned. Had to constantly check all the minions in different parts of the map, if they are alright or being attacked.
Your game atmosphere looks really nice. How did you make the lighting system in Unity?
Its just 2 light source: global and for bonfire. Used fogWar asset, and decal projector to units (because URP support only 8 light source :c)
I like the atmosphere that you created and supported by the core game mechanics. Nice work!
Really nice art style and fun to play. I do wish though there was an icon that popped up to show where your friends are being attacked but that's just a request. On the whole, super fun!
Love the idea dude, I think controlling the AI is a bit finicky, and I'd recommend maybe making the upgrade text font/color a bit more legible, but such a cool premise, great job!
