Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
The vision for this game is to help stray cats by providing them with objects that are not used anymore. By doing this, you help an animal in need but also repurpose things that are considered trash. Now in passing you can reciprocate the generosity you had received in life.

This was super sweet. I loved it!
Though I'd love a subtle indication of the blue eyed kitten.
It was a delight to play it though.
Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback :) I was thinking of adding something to indicate that in an update :)
The amount of talented people in this jam is actually crazy. To make a game like this all on your own is so wild to me. It's done super well. The puzzles were fun and well thought out. The different colored lights made the burst ability more interesting and engaging, and the last puzzle with all the lights was reminiscent of playing songs on instruments in a legend of zelda game. Really really solid entry, even if this had been made by an entire team of people. Really amazing job!
Thank you so much! Your comment means a lot :) I didn't know that zelda games have such mechanics, I should look into it. But I am happy that you were reminded of it :)
The friendly black kitties have all received their gifts, and I in return have received a home and a beautiful cat ending. :D
Other than me rapidly hitting the clock tower in a frenzied state, everything about this experience was calm and patient. The sound/particle effects were charming, and the dark, grey world was soothing and pleasant on the eyes. You made color an important game element in progressing the story, as it works well with the dim-lit, colorless backdrop. The note scraps foreshadowing the end puzzle was also well presented.
It goes without saying that you are a natural artist and designer. I could learn a lot from you!
omg that's so touching! thank you so much <3 I'm really happy you enjoyed it :)
Very nice, and a perfect ending!
thank you :) Did you develop a game for the jam as well?
No, I can't do jams. I'd needs weeks or months to make something like this due to other commitments.
Very sweet point and click! It's been a while since I've played this type and I really missed it. I got stuck at the clock, after I got the piece from the cat, but maybe I was just tired.
The art style and atmosphere were really immersive, and I genuinely had a relaxing time after work. Thank you for making this lovely cozy game!
Thank you so much for playing :) The solutions are on the itch page if you want to replay it. But nonetheless thank you for checking it out :)
Wow.. outstanding piece of work--it won't just be in passing for me. I hope you fix the bugs after the jam, I'd love to just have the complete experience.
Very well done!
I have instructions on how to avoid the bug if you want to replay it. Thank you anyway for playing it though!
Eleni - I went back to play and finish it!
I figured out the problem I had: it wasn't a bug. I saw the color sequence from the house's dinner schedule, but I had trouble telling Pink and Purple apart (a bit--i don't think i'm colorblind), and plus there was no feedback at all unless you do the right sequence in exact order OR fail, I didn't know what I was doing wrong! Anyway, what I'm trying to say is I wonder if you'd consider making the feedback clearer (just a bit) for the Clock puzzle.
Anyway - I still love everything!
Oh! So the way I designed it, it gives you feedback after you played 4 tunes. Do you think it would be nice to show on screen what colors you have already played? I am trying to brainstorm. :) thank you for going back and letting me know! Also yes the pink and purple were quite similar, the light was the cause of it. I tried to distinguish them as best as I could and don't be very dark (since they are a light). But I understand the confusion.
Yes I think so - since when you press N, there's already a familiar mechanic (that's a core feature too).
I was going to suggest some animation / vfx, like everytime you hit a color, it would vibrate the clock or sparkle with the yellow shader you used. This seems fun, but it's a bit more work and also break the clean, visual cohesion you presented - so maybe that's not the answer.
Thank you regardless! I will definitely keep it in mind when redesign it :)
Or perhaps run a coloured glow across the clock hands and house vines?
If you have that kind of feedback, then it's easier to implement it so that as long as the last n colours are in the correct order it unlocks.
Story - Helping the little stray kitties across the town and then finding them a forever home. How much cuter can you get?
Mechanics - Point and click, the tried and true mechanics of our time. Can't go wrong with this. I definitely needed to reference your spoiler hints at the bottom of your itch page, though, since I didn't realize going back to the first area was an option (much less doing it twice!)
Theme - Generosity and kindness were on full show here!
Audio/Visual - So nice and soothing. The sounds of the cats purring warmed my heart. The visuals were also outstanding!
Overall - A really great little game filled with lots of heart and plenty of puzzles! Amazing job!
omg thank you so much for your thorough feedback :) and for playing!
Very lovely game. The art and nighttime ambience made for a relaxing, almost storybook experience. Reminds me of some point and click adventure flash games I would play as a child, which I mean as a compliment. I appreciate that the puzzles were all logical, i.e. the cats all want something relevant to their situations. Feels very polished and complete, I really do like this one.
thank you so much!! :) I am super happy it reminded you games that you played as a kid :)
You were so patient with my game, I just had to play your game all the way till the end. I had to look at your hints only twice, and that is a testament to how it was mostly intuitive; it is quite an elegantly-crafted, polished puzzle-game. the cat animations, the purrs...they were all so charming! the art is a feast for the eyes. if you gave the environment (very subtle) animations the way you did with the cats (slight smoke coming out of houses, plants swaying just slightly), it will make everything feel more alive.
P.S. little things that struck me: the final combination felt like way too many colors, and a little too complicated. but i really loved the intent behind it; unlocking different colors when you are being generous to different cats, and trying to weave a system out of it, creating a build-up using these colors to unlock that one satisfying climax scene; so many things worth appreciating. as a solo-developer, kudos to you! i'm seriously impressed!
omg thank you so much for returning to it :) The animations for the environment was in my list but I ran out of time. I understand that the last puzzle was a bit complicated. Maybe I should have created a different way to access the colors. But I am glad you enjoyed the ending :))) Thank you a lot for the feedback !
your art looks so polished otherwise, I can understand why you ran out of time! Yess, especially for people who find it difficult to discern between different shades (pink and purple; green and teal) it might be a little difficult! But I'm so glad I played all the way till the end, it was worth it!
ah yes, I was thinking that it would be difficult for people having colorblindness as well, and yeah for ppl to distinguish the colors in general, especially the pink and purple. The vision was to include as many colors of the rainbow as possible. But adding light to them made it a little bit tricky to balance. Unfortunately time is a big factor for designing such intricate ideas that will ensure no confusion. It is very insightful to hear such feedback :)
ahh i can see you had already given this a good amount of thought! (yes, the 'colors' of the rainbow idea struck me! and i think you also attached a unique musical note to each; do re mi fa so la ti?) i am sure you'll be able to find a way where you keep the essence of the idea intact, while enhancing accessibility...once you work on it after the jam!
time is such a BIG factor yes
This is so polished and charming. I really love the different tones for each of the different color lights as well as the dissolve effect used to phase in/out items.
The audio design was done so well between the cat purs and the restaurant chatter.
I had so much fun playing and helping each kitty <3
Thank you so much!! :)
This one really grabbed my attention and kept me clicking around to help all the cats. It felt great to make each cat happy in its own way.
I'm so happy you enjoyed it! thank you :)
The art style is really beautiful. I had to use a hint for the clock step but in hindsight it was pretty solvable
Thank you so much :)
Very polished and calm game! I love clicking and playing around with the sounds.
I did encounter some issue at the part where i was giving the cat the fish, I couldn't interact with it even thought i have the fish already, it's stuck at the hint state :((, had to restart the whole game sadly
But other than that I love the theme on how you when you help the cats you grew colors and you get to help more cats! :D
The Artstyle fits so well, gave me a calmy and night feeling!
Especially the SFX! well done on that too!! I enjoy every bit of the SFX and music very soothing to my ears
Oh yeah, that's so unfortunate, I am really sorry you encountered it. It's a bug I know it exists, but found it after the deadline. I have it listed on the page and on how to avoid but yes if you encounter it, unfortunately, you have to restart the game. Really sorry about that. I am glad that you put the effort to restart it though! Thank so much for your kind words and your feedback! :)
Ahh very nice with cute visuals. I absolutely love puzzle point and click games!! I got stuck but restarted it after i saw your reply about hints and solutions.
A nice complete, cozy cat-themed puzzle game with good music, sound effects and art style. What more do we want?!
Also, purring sound was soothing.
Thank you so much!! It makes me really happy you tried it again :))
Love me some cat-themed games, this was really fun! I really like the glow effect on the cursor and that it can change color, such a creative detail~ The cats are so precious with their big eyes. The puzzle aspect was also engaging and I can tell you guys had a lot of fun making this game. I definitely needed to use the hints a couple times, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the game. Well done, kudos to your team!
Thank you so much for your feedback!! I really appreciate it !! It makes me super happy you use the hints and try the game anyway :)
PS. I did this game alone btw, but I will share the kudos to my partner and cat heh :)
You did this by yourself?! That’s mad impressive, you did so good! But feel free to still pass along my kudos to your cat lmao
the breath-taking visuals is easily the first thing that strikes you...but it is so clear a lot of thought has gone behind hand-crafting these puzzles. it was not so intuitive for me to solve these puzzles on my first attempt, but it could be on me too! i shall definitely try again when i have more time!
exquisite! and who doesn't love kitties? well-done!
Thank you! I have hints and solutions in the itch page if you have been struggling to solve them :)
yes and they were so comprehensive too! that's what made me realise just how much thought has gone behind it; although i refrained from reading beyond a point...because i would love to dive into the game again with no external hints! i shall get back to you again after giving it another shot!
I got stuck:(( But I LOVE the art style and the cats omg they are LOVELY
Thank you so much!! I have the solutions in the itch page if you want to play it more :)
Really lovely game! The puzzles are nicely designed and fun to work out. Had a bit of trouble figuring out what order to read the note in, but figured it out in the end! Beautiful art, and I liked being able to help out some tray cats!
Thank you!! I am glad you figure it out :) But I will keep that in mind.
The game is great, cute and interesting! I like the way you collect light by helping stray cats. Great work!
Thank you so much :)
This game is very sweet. I love the format, having to click and solve puzzles hidden in these pretty illustrations. The animations are so cute. And also I love cats!!!
thank you!! :)
