Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
We tried to incorporate the theme of generosity with a more realistic approach, drawing inspiration from real-life disasters — especially the tragedies of Mariana and Brumadinho — while using a stylized, fable-like aesthetic.
As you serve meals in the shelter’s cafeteria, you embody generosity not only through your actions, but by being present and listening to what the victims have to say.

WHERE ARE THE BAMBOO SHOOTS???
- Gordon Ram-Say, 2025

Seriously, though. The game keeps mentioning them, but I can't find anything which resembles them. There's also a literal pot of nothing.

I like the art style of the game, it reminds me of 60 Seconds. The GUI doesn't match up, though - it's too blocky and the font could be more cartoony, to compliment the art.

I'd also like to add, that maybe there should be more dialogue options, with which the player can influence the clients' decisions. For example, what if I were to tell the fox lady to look for her husband by herself, even if it seems reckless?

Otherwise, I like the story and the dialogue.

The connecting texts are lengthy with no way to increase the speed, and should you press “space bar”, they are reborn again. It was intriguing to hear about each of the animals’ problems.

I like the intro cliff hanger haha, I need to know the ending. Dialog and writing was well done!
Gameplay wise I only vaguely knew which item was which, some sort of mouse over text or description would have helped me a little. I also didn't seem to be able to progress past my first plate. I loaded it up, and tried every button I had available to submit the order/proceed but it didn't seem to work.

Yes, there were more people who had trouble distinguishing the items (we forgot to include the item descriptions on our list, we only realized it 2 days after the deadline lol).

I'm glad you liked the script and the dialogues, the scriptwriter on our team worked hard and gave us two pages of each character, we even had to cut content so we could post it...

A gem! I appreciate that it encourages us to evaluate our current climate. Finished the whole game, I’m curious to know how many current endings there are. I was especially impressed by the aesthetic, writing, and character design. These elements all worked together so well to feel so real!

Few notes:

  • The food items were not exactly clear, felt bad whenever I accidentally upset them. Suggest adding image icons on the pots
  • Sometimes the dialogue text would overlap with the trash icon on top.

This game leaves me wondering… Great job!

Thank you so much for the kind words! We're really happy the game resonated with you and made you reflect, that was one of our main goals.

About the endings: there's only one for now. We did consider adding more, but the extra scripts we had ended up drifting too far from the core theme of generosity we wanted to stick to. So in the end, we decided to keep it simple.

We also had about 18 different animal characters planned at one point, but had to cut many of them, so who knows? Maybe one day we’ll revisit MFB and release a more complete and polished version.

Thanks for playing and sharing your thoughts.

I really like the concept and the art. The story is quite nice, and so is the dialogue.

I was quite confused on what ingredient was which sometimes, and maybe it would be nice if I could skip the text at the start, instead of doing it by itself...

Congrats to everyone for this unique ideia and nice game.
