Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
Set on an isolated island, a group of birds must prepare for migration.
Each individual has its own personality and influences the success of the migration as a whole.
The player has the choice of going it alone, or helping out and letting others help.

A very simple yet pleasant world.
With no explanation, players may struggle to understand their objective, or be confused about mechanics. Taking flight is a smooth experience, but when there is no incentive to stop, some might not understand that the dulled filter correlates to hunger and might even assume flying is what caused their demise. A simple prompt reminding the player to search for food may help with this.
There is also the matter of assisting other companions. It may take an entire play to understand this is the core mechanic, and even longer to notice the differences and relevance to the symbols that appear when using the “call” function. It would be of great assistance to make them more distinct, or even removed for those in good health.
As for the art, well done. The style is smooth and calming, and the same could be said for the sound design. The terrain changing to match the weather is a nice touch.
Very cute and perfectly fits the theme! The flying is also really satisfying! Well done!
Very simple and cute.
The whole island looks really nice, and the animations are very lovely. Maybe it would be nice if there was an indication as to how close it is for my energy to run low... But otherwise, congrats to everyone for this lovely game!
Thanks! There is a screen effect to try to indicate this, desaturation and blurryness :)
Lovely game - you guys did a fantastic job. The flying feels so great.
If you see the 4 birds I left behind, please feed them for me. I was not good enough to save them
I love flying games! Perhaps I needed some more direction in the beginning. It felt like I was getting hungry before I knew what I needed to do. Otherwise, I got the hang of it! It's fun to spam the call button.
My second attempt I left 3 birds behind, will see if I can save them all :D
I love this! I played it multiple times trying to save all the birds. Very relaxing game. Trying to balance your own gain but help the others was a great way to encapsulate the theme. Great job!! :)
I really enjoyed the concept and its execution, the art style, animations, and sound design are all charming and cohesive. It took me a little time to understand what was expected, but once I noticed the birds had different statuses, things started to click.
Managing the needs of all the birds alongside your own survival creates a satisfying level of challenge. That said, the experience would benefit from more feedback on the player's actions, it’s not always clear whether you’ve successfully fed a bird or yourself, which can lead to some confusion.
Overall, it’s a thoughtful and engaging design. Great work!
I really enjoyed playing this game a few times. The gameplay is interesting, the other birds reacting around you really adds a lot to the atmosphere of the game. The animations are so satisfying like the walking and the flaping of the birds. I also enjoyed the visual art the developers did for this game: simple shapes but a nice attention to details like the shore of the island and the color grade of the trees. Good job!
I really like the art style and the bird animations. GG 🎉
I'm sure everything I say has already been said by others. This is incredibly fun and satisfying while being very simple and I like that about it. This could make for an excellent co-op game where the players help each other (or choose not to) as a flock of birds. I hope you keep developing this game, I'd love to re-visit it again in the future! Fantastic work!
As others have said, I think the flying is simple and satisfying.
However, the aspect I think is the most interesting, other than the terrain generation, is the AI. It's simple, yet effective. It makes the world feel alive. They're quite competitive when it comes to food, though.
I also like the sound work, graphics and animations in this game.
The only thing I don't like about the game is how fast the player dies of starvation - I think it's a tad too fast.
Otherwise, I don't think there's anything to complain about.
I love a good gliding game! Simple and fun, the best kind. The flapping felt very good.
The flying was really satisfying :)
I like the simplicity of everything! I also really like how instead of humans giving to other humans, or beings that can really process emotions, it's animals giving just to help the other survive. Really cute and wholesome idea! I think that the instruction could be clearer though. The game isn't intuitive enough to be thrown into without any explanation. A quick one time/optional tutorial explaining the mechanics would have made it a lot easier to pick up and play! Overall though, the flying was fun, the birds were cute, and it was a really wholesome experience!
I had a fun time playing!! Really like the lil birdsss and flying was satisfying. Great job!!
The style of this whole package is eye catching! From the simplicity of the UI, to the colour palettes, and all the little instrumental sound effects, it's all just wonderful. The flying mechanic is a highlight as well.
<3 thanks Hakan
This is great and follows the jam's theme very clearly! The concept is great - simple but effective!
I love that you play a different bird everytime! The movement of the bird and camera was very satisfying!
I'd wish there would be a hunger meter somewhere. I didn't completely get the mechanics of it. What happens when you feed the birds? And how do you get them to migrate with you?
Thanks :)
We had a stamina bar initially, but thought it would be too gimmicky.
You have to watch for the fainted birds and those who walks slowly, you can also chirp around them to check their mood.
Story - Very cute story. Love the community of feathered friends that look out for one another. It was really simple and I think that's what made it so beautiful.
Mechanics - The mechanics were great! Hopping, flying, and gliding all felt so pleasant. I didn't realize that I was supposed to save the other birds, though! I was hopping around collecting berries and then having to eat them because my screen would get dark. When I left for the winter, I left 4 birds behind apparently! I didn't even know there were others that were in need.
Theme - The birds helping one another and feeding one another felt really on point for the theme. I even had a bird hop up and give me a berry when I was about to pass out. Awesome stuff.
Audio/Visual - Very simple, very effective. I love the lilting music that accompanies the chirping of birds on the little island.
Overall - Really cute little experience and I really dug the "community watches out for each other" vibes I was getting from those birds. Great work!
Thanks :)!
Yeah, we wanted people to not be "forced" to help other birds and realize at the end that others could receive help too.
Intuitive gliding, felt so smooth, I love the simple visuals, especially the little speech bubbles. I like the greyscale indicator that we need to eat for ourselves too. Felt bad when I ate a berry in front of the last bird I was meant to save right before the end XD sorry bird
You got to do what you got to do 😔
simple and amazing!
