Cool idea. Didn't quite understand how the combat worked but I like how there was a story to get you interested in the game, and I like how the controls are explained in the game itself.
I was also a bit confused about why you sometimes jump higher, and how sometimes the axe is high and sometimes low.
Sometimes the text would clip outside of the text boxes but other than that the graphics and sound design are really well done :)
Nice work, I couldn't get anywhere, but I am bad at games.
Asalam o alikum,
The axe is clunky, I get the attack speed increases but I don't understand why pressing the attack key starts a long timer, and then does damage, instead of dealing damage, and then starting a long timer. Visuals are goated, bin the previous guy.

Devs aint shit, dllm.
So much writing for what?
Hi there.
Thank you for your very constructive and detailed feedback. I'm sure as with the other team, whose game received a single comment from you with the word 'boring', we are really glad you took the time to not only play our game, but write an antagonistic comment.
In the case that you missed it, you can actually use the enter key to progress through dialogue if you don't want to read it, and there is no limit to how quickly you can do that.
Negative feedback to be sent to giro please
This feels like a lot of thought went into it, but the combat system was entirely lost on me :/ No idea how the instructions connect with what’s happening on the screen. As such, I won’t be rating this one. Maybe I’ll come back and it will click later :)
Love the art and the music, and it’s quite rare to see narrative games in jams. Shame you didn’t get to polish the combat as well. I’m not sure I was meant to just hold down the attack button on the boss, but it sure did something to it. We don’t talk about my final score though.
I use a 60% keyboard; it's basically impossible to play a game that requires arrow key movement AND letters. My arrows are on a layer.
In the future, WASD would be appreciated!
i had terrible difficulties with hitting the monster, i was never sure if i would actually hit the monsters, or even swing my axe at all ... too bad because the game looks nice, it has its own graphic style, which is cool.
Love the art. The level and character looks very beautiful. The combat however is very confusing. Attacks seem much more consistent when just holding down the button, but the hit detection for attacks seems so inaccurate I was never able to get more that one strike in every so often.
Thanks for playing! Yes, we did have quite a bit of problems with the collision system near the end of the jam so wasn't able to fix it. We did intend the game to be played holding the attack button since the quicker attacks are a bit unforgiving for tapping.
I have passed the feedback on to our artists 🫡
Great visuals, the limited palette is very striking and it works really well. I was a little confused at first, but once it clicked the mechanics were very engaging with trying to keep the combo up. There was quite a lot of text which I feel broke the flow of the action, but the story and world seem very interesting. Also, since I didn’t see a healthbar for the character then I didn’t think I really had to dodge, and ended up with a score of around -900…
Thank you for playing!
We were going to implement death on the character, but felt that the combat system was a bit buggy and harsh on the player. Your score is actually what meant to be the HP system, so I don't think you did that bad at all.

Love the idea here, I completed the game but my score wasn't great, I'll need to give it another shot to see if I can do any better! The visuals and music are really awesome too.
Thanks for playing! The scoring system is a social experiment on how people perceive numbers, so I wouldn't worry too much about whether it's good or bad 😂 (It's meant to be your HP but we didn't implement death on the character, and you start at 100 HP, so it's likely going to be negative)
I have passed the feedback to our artists/musicians 🫡 Thanks!
