The best take on the limitation I've seen so far! Some balance issues asidebut that's part of the package haha
Fun concept, really works well to highlight how well-balanced all the pieces are in chess by letting you (and your opponent) have such absurdly powerful (or weak) pieces! I'm looking forward to trying this with a friend to see just how crazy it can get :)
Desk, Chess and Rock-n-Roll(with some balance problems, and sometimes it's confusing but anyway)
Nice submission!
This is a really cool idea, but I found the pieces changing their movement patterns confusing. If the pieces changed their sprites to reflect the change in movement, it would make things a lot easier to track.
I am quite bad at chess, so even the medium AI was wrecking me! Got a couple rounds in, I think my biggest issue was that the pieces were actually slightly hard to distinguish where I had to keep checking the reference on the right then have to check what it was capable of a lot. Liked the animations though! Fun for a bit, others would probably enjoy it more than I :) Good job!
