This was neat! Unfortunately it was difficult to play without a full screen option. I did try the download version (linux) too, and it did work, but even then I couldn't get rid of the top title bar, so the character would stop moving when I didn't mean for it to.

The distortion shader worked cool! I found character controls just the right amount challenging

I really like the cover art and graphics! And I can steal the shader for myself because it’s CC0 licensed :)

In terms of gameplay, I would have liked an indicator for when a molecule is about to spawn in (plus its initial direction). A cheap way to do that would be to reduce initial speed and add some acceleration up to a max speed.

The visuals on this are really nice and the interpretation of the theme is great. The music is also good. I did experience some garbled music after I'd been playing for a while (linux, firefox) but didn't seem to have other performance issues. Controlling the character by having them walk towards the mouse felt awkward to me. I think I would have preferred to have movement on the keyboard and aiming on the mouse. Especially since, at least of firefox, the character stops moving if the mouse leaves the game's viewport. It wasn't clear to me what the charge mechanic did, it seemed to be identical to a normal swing.

Really nice A E S T H E T I C that fits the music and theme of the game well, you can tell a lot of love went into getting the presentation just right. Gameplay is fun too but I couldn't stop marveling at the retro CRT effect and how well it works with the art and sound

Love the graphics / aesthetics of the game especially the CRT like distortion. I think with some roguelike elements in terms of powerups / builds it could be really compelling as a full game.

Really love the graphics and audio. Wonderful stuff. I will say the gameplay's a bit simple, but still really cool and fun.

Got a minute and 5 seconds! The gameplay is a tad too simple, but very well executed! Nice graphics as well :)
Really captures the retro-arcade vibe. Also lovely little CRT shader you made!

You put this together really great, upbeat music and to the point game play. Tickled my old love for arcade and bullet hell games.

Nice! I was really fond of this style of game in the flash era. Would love some gamepad controls, especially with the boppin' music.

My best attempt so far...

i'm bad at this =)

i'd like to see the full screen button on itch, because i lost multiple times due to the mouse going out of the game field !

Particularly loved the music.
