Cool concept once I worked it out :D It was satisfying working out the sequence of activations especially where I was running close to the limit.
I did find right clicking on the lines a bit fiddly and quite a few times I accidentally deselected the worker by clicking a bit carelessly!
I love infrastructure games. It took me a long time to figure out that I had to repair the lines twice to actually connect them, even though it was sort of mentioned in the instructions. I thought I had won when I had actually only done the first pass on every line. I never did figure out how to stitch the whole grid together. The load indicators seemed weirdly inconsistent. I couldn't really predict how a given section was going to respond to having a node added to it. Sometimes the new node would completely drain the entire grid and sometimes it would basically not change anything at all and I couldn't really figure out what determined it.
I also needed some time to understand that I needed to select lines twice in order to fix them. Not sure what inspecting them (the first action) does, other than change the color.
Unfortunately, I was never able to win the game because I ran out of time while thinking. Would be cool to have a difficulty setting for people like me who are not playing puzzle games often :)
I did like sending my dudes to do stuff though. Was very satisfying sending them around the map to do their thing, and also very satisfying to see big areas finally connected!
Not all lines were meant to be broken from the get go. The idea being that you would be able to skip some connections, as you could tell they were working, and in that case inspecting them would just show a working connection, Unfortunately we didn't have time to do do it in this version.
This has potential - a few notes:
Overall, I liked it.
There is a win state! If you connect all areas and form a single network you will get it.
We also need to have an extra feedback on what areas are connected, you can currently see it by the tiny meters, but there should be some network colouring or so.
Thanks for playing and the feedback!
i had to read louis' message to understand the double clicking thing .... never was able to connect Madrid tho !
Thanks for playing, I added it to the description. And Madrid is meant to be the crux of the puzzle :)
It took me a while to realize that you need to right-click the lines twice for them to connect, but once I figured it out it was a pretty neat puzzle. Also I liked the main menu.
