Developer Feedback Questions
How enjoyable are the puzzles?

Did you feel there was any mechanic that was left underutilised?

Unfortunately the game doesn’t start for me. I only see two empty buttons. When I click on first, the screen goes entirely blank.

Do you have the assets folder that comes with the game next to the executable? Usually that happens when the level file isn’t being found

oooh this one is cool c:

i love the main mechanic of getting new abilities based on the floor tiles. these puzzles were nice too! i didn't get stuck on anything for too long, but i did have to stop and think a sometimes. a couple of them left me wondering if i'd found the "right" solution, which i think is a good quality for a puzzle game

i went back and played the original version, too! i like that weird little guy, but i see why you went with the simpler box for the update. the propeller hat is a nice touch of personality though.

the only ability i felt underutilized was the green one--it's a really interesting obstacle but i only saw it the one time. it also left me wondering what kinds of puzzles could use that as a solution instead of something to avoid. i'd be interested to see that block show up some more!

I’m glad you enjoyed it :D

The green tile I was planning to have more puzzles using that as an actual solution for the puzzle but I could not get the mechanics working in the way I wanted them in time so I had to put them aside for this particular submission unfortunately. I do plan on adding them either after the fact, or if I work on this again or for the IMGJ 40 which I am quite tempted to do.

I’m glad you didn’t think the puzzles were too easy or too difficult, I was really trying to balance them well and only a few people around to playtest but they gave me so much helpful feedback so I appreciate them deeply. I am proud of what I had at the end of this.

Thanks for playing both versions :D
