I got stuck on the third level. I managed to get the key, but the jump over the spikes proved too difficult. What I did manage to do there is jump up high enough to land out of bounds on the rocks on the top left of the screen,

The polish here is great!! I can tell that there are some interesting tricks to the movement here, but I found it pretty frustrating to learn.

The controls were a bit unwieldy, but once you get the hang of it it’s really fun! Just a few tweaks and this could be a really enjoyable little romp.

I found this game really difficult and you took the "chain" theme quite literally here! I couldn't get past the second chest, but that's just a sklil issue :)

Besides a map break and the other little bugs not uncommon in jam games this game was fun! The precision platforming combined with the chaotic explosions really tested my patience, but I had fun getting 10/14 treasures before tapping out and taking the boat. A bigger hitbox on the mine to click it easier would make the game a little more forgiving, but that's probably a skill issue.

Developer

Ah sorry, there is no hitbox on the mine to click! Holding the mouse button down reels in the mine using the chain, and it's picked up when your character is close enough.

10/14 treasures  is a great score, thanks so much for playing and giving feedback!

The skill issue was with reading and not dexterity :) I got to 14/14 treasures and had fun doing so while I wasn't trying to click the mine to catch it constantly. Great work making something relatively polished in such a short timeframe!

Great! it does get a bit hard to navigate, especially early on.

Thanks for the feedback and giving it a try!

Easily one of the most polished games submitted! Great work, it’s quite noticeable that this is probably not the first 2D platformer you’ve made :D
The movement never quite “clicked” for me. Maybe it would be nice if you started out with a lighter mine first so you’re not as constrained? Or maybe that’s just a skill issue on my part, haha. Still, very enjoyable! Really amazed at how finished this looks and plays :)

Developer

I'm flattered! It is actually the first 2D platformer I've worked on :)

The movement has lots of nuance to it that ended up being very hard to tutorialize! Having different mine types for a smoother difficulty curve is a great idea. Thanks for playing!

No way, really?! Damn, you’ve got talent for this :D

Really good game! Its a lot of fun with very nice movement. The only thing I don't like is the jump scare I had when I heard the death sound for the first time :)

Even though it feels a bit rough sometimes it has lots of potential :) Was fun to play.

It also looks really pretty so good job on putting the visuals together!

Thanks for giving it a try!
