Wow! The amount of polish in this game is incredible! The sounds and design is beautiful! Amazingly done!
I love the chill vibes from the music and the cute pixel art! I think this was well made especially for casual players. Great job by the team!
Love the art and music! The gameplay is really fun and cosy and everything I love! Great job!
A very good game for a game jam, the art is amazingly good, the mechanics works really well, the music brings peace to my mind. Despite that it is very hard to figure out what to do and what's the goal, and the animation for the bird took too long.
a very good game, but i find the animation for new seed kinda took too long
It was a slow burn at first but it got me hooked by the time I had a couple full grown plants. Took me a while to find there was a shovel to move plants around which added a bit more depth. The stork carrying in the crate could have been a little quicker though, but no notes otherwise :)
Super cozy visuals and audio, nice work on the game's presentation!
Great game with cool graphics and atmosphere. I wish there was some kind of goal system - like growing a special tree that requires specific plants around it. Got a bit confused by the tree-icon plants requirements, planted them near trees but didn't get the checkmark. There's also a grass spreading bug where it can overgrow other plants. The getting new seed animation feels too long in my opinion.
I have to agree with what everyone said about the graphics and atmosphere in general, very calming, I liked it! I just felt pretty confused while playing, and when I got to pick new upgrades or plants or whatever I wish there was some text or more clear visuals telling me what stuff did. Also the swan animation was a nice touch but I felt like it took a bit too long - like I thought my game froze or something. Overall though, nice work
Right out of the gate, I love the aesthetic. The color palette and sprite-work are great and I was mesmerized by the look of the water. The various plant growth effects were also pleasant and the fireflies made me smile.
Conceptually, I really like the idea of discovering the optimal conditions for growing the plants. The ah-ha moment I had when figuring out where to place the plants with the tree icon was especially satisfying. I can see where, in a larger game with more plants, locations, and growing conditions, the puzzle-solving element of figuring out where to plant everything could be incredibly engaging.
Overall, I found the game intuitive to pick up and the only real thing that stumped me was why some plants could only receive so much water. Great submission!!
The art and music are very charming. I love your choice of a limited colour palette!
I think I got the basic mechanics. I was able to plant two seeds, water then, then see them grow. Is there more than this?
The artwork was beautiful and had a nice overall vibe to the game.
I liked the walking animation and sounds
Like others have said, the gameplay is rather confusing and its not really obvious what you are supposed to be doing.
I liked the game though, good job ^.^
The presentation, art, and music were impressive! The gameplay felt a bit confusing, and I also had the black box appear over the cursor. But overall, the level of quality is spectacular, especially for a game jam!
Really nice and cute game! Art, sounds and music are so good! Gameplay is very relaxing, but I think it need some goals for players.
The art and music for the game are great, and the controls are very smooth.
I think I somewhat understand there was a day/ night cycle, and how each plant had different needs, but I have yet to decipher what each symbol meant. Sometimes it is hard to see them against the similarly colored background. It was also nice to explore the area outside the main garden. (A lot of potential for lore :))
I feel like this would make for a nice gardening/ puzzle game but I'm not sure if applying "unpredictable rules" for the symbols was helpful. There isn't much motivation for the player to try and collect as many plants as they can. (A pokedex style encyclopedia/ device for the player to learn more about the plants could be a nice addition)
Also, this might be a bug but for some reason my cursor has a black square hovering over it that blocks the view a little.
Great job on the game though!
Thank you for the detailed and thoughtful feedback!
I am glad to hear you enjoyed exploring the area beyond the garden. It is indeed full of mystery. Perhaps in a future update the plants you grow help uncover the story of the area… … or perhaps it remains a mystery :)
We will consider your feedback about the plant care UI. A plant encyclopedia is a great suggestion.
Absolutely marvelous art, the color palette and music support the overall vibe and everything is looking extremely polished and well thought out. This really makes your amazing work stand out and I'd love to play more of it.
I'll offer a few detailed thoughts in the hopes you might keep working on the project beyond the jam:
Thank you very much for playing and providing feedback! We will take this into consideration for future updates.
I especially like your idea for a mouse only version. Playing while drinking coffee sounds wonderful.
Dude the art style?! The music?! The vibe goes so hard here, excellent job to all of y'all :D
thank you so much!
The art is so clean and cute, and the music and audio is well made to fit it. I love the presentation!
For gameplay, I keep having issues with the camera not following my player and getting softlocked, or not being able to reach items - and I just find the flow of the game confusing. The growth rules for plants are difficult to discern (as is the point of the game), but I didn't really know where to even start to figure it out!
thank you! hmm, we haven't encountered that softlock -- would you be able to describe what you're doing beforehand that causes it?
Honestly, I'm not sure... I was opening the package the bird dropped off, then tried watering some plants, and then the camera got locked to the top of the screen and I couldn't reach the watering can or some of my plants anymore.
