damn cool stuff! Took me a moment to understand how things worked out but the description definitely helped clear some things for me. This is impressive for something made in 3 days

Thanks! It was certainly a hard push

It was a bit too complex for my bird-brain but I really liked the concept. Good work! Everything in space is to be applauded!

I like the idea of a mini factorio but I didn't really understand how this is supposed to work. I figured out how to move asteroids into the smelter, but I couldn't figure out how to produce stuff from it. My ship also stopped responding to commands after a while in 2 sessions.

I think it would have benefited from a more reduced scope like just a few polished recipes and the ship with newtonian physics doesn't really add any value and just makes pathfinding harder and buggier. I've tried pathfinding for newtonian ships in the past, and there's a good reason why it's called rocket science :D

I didn't understand this at all ... Looks like there is some work behind it, so it would be worth having a more detailed explanation on the actual controls (what to click on, in which order).

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeahhh... We kind of left explainations to the last minute, making for an unenjoyable playing experience. If you're willing to try again, the expected game from starts with you clicking on asteroids to attach miners to them, then spawning combiners/splitters/smelters/coolers and connecting the emitters from the miners to the receivers on the factory components by clicking one then the other in succession. That should allow you to make factories

yes i managed to build factory instructions ! weee ! too bad i can't read those, because you know i need it =D

Had a hard time understanding what to do, or how the controls worked, even with the instructions in the description. I kind of got that I can control the probe with clicking, but the things that spawned under my cursor, icons, etc - I couldn’t really parse them, and then at a point, my probe just did its own thing and I couldn’t work out what I could actually do.

The music was great!

Developer

Thanks for playing! We had fun making it!

What seems to be the major issue so far is the control scheme it seems, we had initially planned for it to all be clickable UI, but had a hard time figuring it out it time for the jam.

Yeah it’s hard in such a short timescale - conceptually your game sounds awesome so I hope you iterate on it.

The freeform building is cool but the interface for connecting producers to consumers was hard to use and I'd have liked some kind of indicator showing queued actions. Awesome idea and the music is great, nice work!

Developer

Thanks! Definitely had fun with the music! This is not a bad idea! We do currently have a yellow carat showing your last selected component

Really cool idea. Hard learning curve as presented. Is there a way to ramp a player up from a simpler model of resource gathering and assembly to reach the full-scale game? Maybe there's a computer-controlled partner in the first few rounds who takes care of some things for you, for instance? I hope you keep building this!

Developer

Thanks! We thought it was definitely a more unique and fun idea!
