Story - Gotta love the heroic cowboy story!

Mechanics - The lasso mechanic was a little funky. It took me a minute to lasso onto the rock covering the water. Once I had it, I pulled the rock all the way out and the water followed me, but nothing really happened and the water half-filled the oasis. I wasn't really sure what to do after that.

Theme - I think the kindness is definitely on display here, as the cowboy goes about his business asking for nothing in return.

Audio/Visual - I really dug the music and the western assets were cool to see. The forest mage felt like a genre mashup, but I kinda liked it?

Overall - Cool little game that brought some fun elements together. Good job!

Hey thanks for playing. interesting bug you found, The boulder should have triggered a cutscene once it reached the end of the river. I tried to duplicate this issue but couldnt I wonder how you did that.

Unfortunately, the game was very laggy in the web version, but I know that's because of how Unity handles big web builds. I liked the western theme and the lasso mechanic, although I would have liked to be using it more often. Still, I know it must have been quite hard to program the lasso function!

Thanks for playing. Now that Ive got some feedback it would seem i should have done a fixed sort of camera. unfortunately i didnt have the time to get some more lassoables in there.

hi Jacob it's Chris!

I love your premise: a kind cowboy with a lasso (and heart) that moves mountains.. literally! I enjoyed roaming around the handcrafted level as well as pushing the boundaries of what can or cannot be lassoed. Some bugs I noticed: 1) pressing enter many times with the 1st NPC will play the quest scripts that many times (in my case, 5); 2) I couldn't lasso the boulder to follow me after trying a few times.

Would like to play a more polished version of this. There's something really unique about lassoing that hasn't been explored outside of Red Dead Redemption recently. Cool jam work!

Hey thank you for your comments! I appreciate you giving it a play. I wish i had more time to commit to it, but I was happy I was able to turn something in! quick tip if you want to finish playthrough; walk forward towards target as you throw the lasso should make the connection better. I fixed the collision detection, however was not able to update the build in time for this submission.

Hey I really like how you've managed to bring together all these assets to create a nice and complete experience, the game was actually pretty wholesome. Well done

Thank you! I am no artist so free assets was the way to go for this. I tried to get the dialogue to fit the story, im just not a writer either haha! I am glad you got the experience I was aiming for!!
