That's some ambitious scope! I appreciate the art style and atmosphere. Good music choices. Also loved the animation - very charming.

It took me a while to figure out how to get down in the first part. I almost gave up, but I'm glad I got through it, because that was quite an adventure!

Woah ...... I mean WOAH, most jamers just try to to create one level games, but you created and entire game world and journey. I was wondering who the other contenders for this jam were, nice to meat you. This was a well made game experience considering it was built in a a short amount of time, you should apply to join the NSR (No Straight Roads) team if you get the opportunity.

P.S when you try my game later please use the latest build.

Developer

Hey, thanks for the review.
Glad you liked the game.

Yeah, creating games in a short time is quite difficult, especially if it has more levels.

What most people do is "go with the wind" when it comes to jamming, but it can lead to unfinished games or unpolished ones. My advice is to plan everything out because it can allow you to evaluate the decisions and time needed for the game's creation. Obviously, my games had bugs and wasnt perfect, but if I had taken smart decisions in the jam, I could have made it near perfect.

Once again, thank you for your feedback, and I will see about the NSR😄.

What I liked the most was the atmosphere. A neon city and the color palette really set the mood.

Something definitely seems off with the character rig—I got stuck in T-pose several times.

But the background really captivated me. I really appreciate when a game dares to go beyond a typical mobile experience, and I think that kind of risk is worth extra points. :)
Congrats!

Developer

Hey thanks for the review.

Yeah, the pallet and background were designed because I had that one game in mind.

Yeah the charector was a bit rushed due to time constraints: :P.

Wow, there's a lot of variety here. Very creative and super ambitious! The flipaclip animation was crazy! Wow

Hey thanks for the Review.

Glad you liked the game and the animation😄

There are a few too many rhythm problems to enjoy this as a rhythm game (things seemed to beat sometimes at the right BPM, sometimes not, most of the time in some strange multiples of each other that were hard to parse or line up with the music), but that said the story aspect held my interest enough to play the game out!  The dialogue was funny and there's an impressive variety of content here.  Like singing robots and random cacti XD

I was getting ENA: Dream BBQ vibes for sure, so I recommend checking this out on Steam if you haven't played it before--it's free! (link for convenience: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2134320/ENA_Dream_BBQ/)

Developer

Hey thanks for the review, glad you liked the robot.

Yeah I'll be checking out those game.

I agree my game does sometimes de sync with the music but mainly I did it cuz I had a skill issue on hitting them on beat😅.

Either way I'll be sure to fix this issue and make the beets line up.

It was very difficult to find the “right” way to get down (there were multiple but I just respawned over and over again) and the rhythm games didn’t seem to match the rhythm of the songs, the car drive where the friends intercept the radios signal for example seemed to have a different BPM than the song! Other than that, interesting idea to integrate a story into a rhythm game

Developer

Hey thanks for the review.

I understand that the first stage was difficult due to its lack of navigation. I'll make sure to fix this later on. Yeah the level with the car one has a slightly diffrent BPm with the song. It was mainly done becuase I realised sometimes it's too fast for a person(probably me😅) to react so I made it slightly off so a person can react to it. Either way I'll fix this.

Here my honest thoughts: i like how you implement the first song and the building that is like jumping on beat. Also the music pretty cool too. But on the second track i got boring since here some bugs with visualisation of the notes and the beat also very repetetetive. But still cool

Developer

Thanks for the veiw.

I agree they do get repetitive.

I don't know about the visual bug you are getting so can you describe it to me.

Submitted

The visual bug i had, sometimes the note appears on the screen for one moment( a second) like it going to hit. but then disappeared before gets the hit area ot smthg like that

Developer

oh ok well that is when the beat has expired or missed

looks cool, i love that neon style. But i think character's animation is lagging. Overall i like your idea 👍👍👍

Developer

Thanks man.

Yeah I had to rush with the charector animation.

The game has some really cool 3D assets and solid playability. It’s a bit of a shame there’s no web version, since that could really help more people try it out.

I got to the part where I need to find a way down, but I wasn’t sure what to do. I tried jumping to the road and reaching other buildings, but I always got sent back to the respawn point. Could you explain what I'm supposed to do there?

Developer

So jump to the left of the text that says you to jump down (becuase there is a building there that can slow your fall)
