I think the artstyle is nice, and the gameplay concept is pretty good. I like the variety of enemies included in the game, with their own abilities meant to stop the fox.
However, the randomization of hazards can be a problem, I think the trees are particularly problematic, as you can't predict what hazards could be hidden by them.
The hold jump button also caused me some issues, it made jumping normally feel like it had input lag. While I did figure it out and got timing it a little better, it does feel like some delay added between a button press and a hold could be nice.
Obviously, this was made in a week, so it's no big deal there's issues. Just thought to mention some I had in case you guys make this into a full game.
Also, I do think the slide pretty much gives you the benefit of running without using stamina, and it seems to give you infinite jumps? Not that the latter is that useful, but might be something to be aware of as well.
Really beautiful! I love the sliding animation the fox does, so much character. My eyes had some real trouble keeping up when you're among the trees so I died most often there. But a really nice entry!
I love the artstyle, and you make really good use of the color palette. The beautiful visuals really suit the simple gameplay. I think the obstacles could be clearer, but once you know what to look out for it's not that much of a problem. Overall, I really enjoyed it.
Thank you!
Yeah we realized that when we put everything together, but it was too late to do something about it.
THIS IS SO PRETTY! I love the foliage and animal sprites!
Thank you!
