This was a fun game to play. I don't know if there is a way to know who will and won't like the chocomint ice-cream so I mostly avoided it. Once all the spots are filled with girls, the real game begins. I feel like the shooting game sometimes would not read my mouse click, which often led to me being late. Maybe something like 2-3% of the time it doesn't react to my click.

Quite a fun and stressful little game. I started to get overwhelmed at 5 girls. I preferred the minigames over the food, it was a nice treat doing a quick speed puzzle

It's a simple and fun game. Half the time Ollie ends up being an Uber Eats delivery person, just delivering food.

Super super super fun!!! Minigames had me so stressed but in a good way, and all the chaos was awesome. I think I got every girl to appear before I lost, but I really enjoyed balancing around the food (chocomint my saving grace) and minigames. The theming was also really fun, it felt very in character for Ollie, and the sound design was a particular highlight for me. I have nothing but praise for this game, it's such a great concept with flawless execution.

Cute and fun game! I really enjoy these kinds of games where you have to manage your time while satisfying certain conditions. I can definitely see Ollie running back and forth delivering food and also bringing dates to play more games. And Ina's presence is also greatly appreciated. The art is really great and the music had that festival vibe for sure. What a wonderful entry!

This is really fun! When I played it originally I didn't discover that you don't have to wait at the stalls while they "charge up." That lets you get a lot further. On one hand I like the "show don't tell" way the player learns the game. The theme match was excellent, chefs kiss, exquisite.

And that's why you should not double date! (Or this case, OCTAGONAL DATE!). I'm in love with simplicity of the game and how fast things can scale up in terms of chaos! The mini-games are fun and intuitive. The sprites and the sfx blends well to create this anxiety inducing  experience (in a good way of course!).

I can't say anything more except phenomenal job!

This was a lot of fun! Having a bunch of minigames like this is really cool and really adds to the frantic vibe. I could feel like the visuals of the mini games suffered a bit, but all the sprite work and art in the main level are great. Nice submission!

This is lovely. I had fun juggling all the dates and playing all the minigames! The music is nice and the art is cute!

Very chaotic and fun game!

I was panicking on my first play as I was learning how things worked and the layout of the festival stalls but on my second one I did a better job! Got 2506 points!

I like how this game fits perfectly with the theme! A bit too much love causing angst for Ollie! XD

The sprites are great and the music was fitting too! I'm guessing the shooting target sprites were unfinished but it's a minor detail.

Some improvement suggestions:

- Chocomint needs more info. I had no idea what to do with it, so I just ignored it during play as other things were higher priority in my mind.

- Ordering food in advance is a good strat for the game, please don't remove it! It made some instances where multiple dates wanted the same food (sometimes up to 3 of them!) more bearable.

- I saw a red bar on the left side of the screen but I have no idea what it's used for.

- I have no idea how scoring works. Are there bonuses for doing things in a certain way?

Great game!

A great game!!! I really like the concept and the art, a great addition to this HoloJam!!

Firstly, the game's concept is hilarious. Juggling all of the dates like that sounds like some hijinx Ollie would actually get herself into. It's ultimately pretty challenging but the difficulty scales upwards nicely that you have more than enough time to get used to the festival's layout and figure out what goes where. The minigames themselves were lots of fun. I found you can sort of cheese the food bits by queuing up the food even when no one's asked for it that way there's always food ready for when a person asks for it.

The art is really nice, and the sprites are cute. Everything is clear and understandable even at that size and so there were no issues in recognizing what each girl wanted. The pairings you folks picked are also pretty spot on. Nice.

I think the opening bgm could have done a bit more than just the few sporadic notes by a shamisen, but the music that plays during the level is okay; although, the sfx sometimes overlaps it somewhat awkwardly in some parts because of the similarity in sounds used so sometimes it sounds like the instrument is being played weirdly but in fact it's only sfx playing.

Overall, a great job from the team! Congrats on your submission!

Also nice job slipping that one helper line into the game's text XD

Thanks for the feedback!

Yep! you can queue up the food even if no one's asked for it. Originally we'd even planned for the finished food to be gone if it hasn't been taken for a long time. But I personally made the decision to disable this mechanic in fear of making the game too difficult. But of course, we need more people to test the game to decide whether to go forward with this decision or not.

The opening bgm is sporadic because it was intended for the intro cutscene. We ran out of time to do the intro cutscene, so the intro bgm ended up becoming the title bgm, while the title bgm became the beginning part of the level bgm. Maybe we should've left the title bgm where it is.

As for the sfx, you're right. I hadn't considered how the bgm and sfx will overlap during the game. If the team is willing to continue development after the jam, we might consider another iteration for the sfx.

The opening bgm gave me Papers Please vibes. Started to feel sorry for Ollie when it got super hectic, although I guess she did bring it upon herself here. Fun game!

Fun little game - I haven't actually played any diner dash-esque games before, so I was really surprised when it suddenly got super hectic and I failed lmao

But after getting a lay of what's where, I can definitely see myself getting too caught up in this game and losing track of time playing it. Art was good, and aside from the couple of placeholder assets, the game as a whole looked really polished.

I will say that I didn't quite get what the chocomint was for? I picked it up once, and gave it to Ina cause she had the icon, then I picked one up again and I think I gave it to Roboco, but I couldn't see anything happen - maybe I missed it, or she just didn't like it...

All in all good game, hopefully the team can come back and round out the little things at some point, thanks for submitting!

the placeholders left in still pain me…

thanks for playing! the chocomint was intended as a bonus item - it acts the same as any other food, except it can be given at any time and it factors in whether the member likes it (in reference to this video). in playtesting i found i’d always ignore it because there were other things to do - definitely needs some refinement!
