its good
It was very fun playing but suddenly while rewinding the ghost I got teleported to the start :I
Yes, thats a bug I noticed too late to fix :(
Very cool concept and execution! The rewind and path tracing is very cool!
Such a fun game! My brother and I played, and it was easy to learn the controls after trial and error :)) I especially enjoyed the music switch between ghost and hero mode!
Wow, this is pretty cool !
This must have been a pain to program, congrats !
This could use a bit of polish here and there, and the difficulty is too much for me (I wasn't able to beat it), but the concept and the execution is really cool ! I also really liked the small detail that the music switches depending on your mode !
Overall, great job ! :D
Thank you!
Hey, our games have a similar idea :) although the execution is completely different!
I like this, it's fun to think ahead to where your 'real' version will be, and the rewinding is very smooth too! Well done!
Really liked the idea of ghost controls. Background looks little empty though, but overall awesome concept!
Great Game, i like the music shifting between modes and the sound design in general is very good, i wish it was faster going back into your real body just incase i made a mistake along the way i would like to try again faster, sometimes the enemy spawning can be a little frustrating to deal with and i feel like the exclamation blocks and instant spawns add a sort of artificial difficulty without really challenging the players skills and just requiring them the rewind all the time.
Very fun concept with a lot of potiential ! as The_vo!d said, I love the music switch when going from ghost to normal and reverse
Huge thanks for playing our submission! Yesss super glad to hear from feedback that the music shift is appreciated haha
realy cool idea of indirect control! the music shift when you switch to your ghost is realy cool
Thanks for checking out the game! Awesome to hear the music shift was a noticeable feature :success:
I really like the way the music is more muffled and quiet when you're not in ghost mode, it has similar vibes to the dream level in celeste!
I'm not sure how to fix this but it was a little slow to have to watch things over each time? But the idea of like, move and *then see what actually happens is really fascinating....
Thanks for checking out the game
The idea is, that you dodge traps later in the game with the ghost and rewind mechanic, so that the character doesnt get hit
Hey Emma, thanks for checking out the game! Super cool that my music reminded you of Celeste’s Resurrections theme; it’s one of my favorite OSTs that I seek inspiration from :)
I do agree, would be really cool to have a fast forward feature for reaching the playthrough!
interesting idea !
a some jank here and there for now, but that's expected in a jam game, if you keep working on this it could be really fun !
i love how the music changes depending on what mode you're in
i think maybe watching the replay could be a bit faster, especially if im going to fail id like to get back to trying again sooner, since there's nothing to do while watching the replay it doesn't need to be in normal speed
another small thing, when the replay has finished, it would be nice to have a visual / audio cue you can continue into ghost mode, sometimes i made a really long recording and forgot where i was just standing in place and where i ended it
i saw you said you are thinking about making the ghost mode have limited time, i think that's a good idea
sometimes it's impossible to know where the enemy is gonna be / where they're gonna spawn outside of ghost mode, so i think some parts should be tweaked to be able to predict that or have spots you know for sure are safe, unless you wanted it to feel a bit unfair
early on i figured i can slice the snakes through walls so i thought that's what you're going for, stand in a safe spot and plan the projectile, but later that became impossible, then it became less of a puzzle and more of a luck thing
good job with making all of this in such a short time tho, concept is full of potential !
Thank you for the feedback! I agree with the faster replay thing and the audio cue when the replay has finished.
I also wanted to make the enemies deterministic, but ran out of time and wanted to make a level with a bit of gameplay instead.
Dang huge, huge thanks for checking out the game and providing such valuable feedback! All great points
Very Very Good!!!!!!!!!
Thank You!
I likes the idea and the general presentation and vibe
But I feel like this was just the starting, the idea has alot left to be explored
The mechanics of the body following its ghost and the rewind are reallly really cool, but dont get used to their fullest potential
Another thing I noticed was there was no limit to how can u can go in ghost mode, after the "Good luck" msg, I just went ahead with the ghost and then missed a jump and fell into the void around the end but the ghost didnt die. I couldnt see the ghost (it was off screen) but I could still control it and just walked to the end skipping everything
The Ghost mode, body follow and the rewind mechanic are very well made, they just need to be used more
II do wonder, will u continue development on this further? Id love to give future versions of this a try!
Also Id love to see a way to fast forward the body following the ghost's movements.
It was really slow to just watch as the body repeat all my silly mistakes xD
Thanks for checking out the game! The idea is not to use the ghost for too long, so maybe I should have kept a timer for the ghost that I had.
Anyway, the rewind mechanic is used a bit more often later in the level, did you manage to reach the end?
Also, I'm probably going to continue developing the game in the near future, I just want to work on some more small games before!
I did reach the end but it was when I fell in the void at the rock parkour section but didnt die and kept walking to reach the end xD
So, yes I did reach the end. But not the intended way
