Really unique take on "plat-forms". It is a bit unclear which buttons do what to the bars and it took just trial and error to get it right but then after that it felt impossible to lose. Maybe overtime adding more things you need to manage could be interesting. The art and intense music were really good as well.
certainly a unique idea ! i love that you went in a completely different direction and found something educational even
good work :]
Very engaging game! At first, I couldn't figure out the mechanics, but it turned out that part of my gameplay screen was cut off — I couldn't see the "stability" bar or the "+" button for increasing the rod extraction speed. The game became much easier once I had access to those UI elements xDDD I really like the simplicity of the concept and the unique idea. The visual style is also quite pleasant.
Fun game... also definitely the most original concept, for sure.
BRO I PLAYED THIS ON THE DISCORD!!! First of I found it funny how you decided "you know, platform is a little boring, BAM Platinum Formation" It was a pretty fun game that really only lacked a tutorial, now eventually I did find a sweetspot where the stability would stay the same if the heat was in a certain range allowing me to make it infinitely long, so I would recommend fixing that, now I would have given the prerequisite a higher rating but the controls are too direct (which I don't have a problem with, its a fun game!)
Yeah, I wish I didn't get stuck on weird things so much, then I could've polished the mechanics a bit more. I actually made some changes right before the deadline that kinda broke the mechanics. You actually weren't able to get infinite runs before because the temperature would also slowly decrease within the green heat level and speed up over time, but I felt like it was unintuitive to loose while on optimal conditions, so now it's more likely you don't loose at all xD
Thanks for the feedback!
I would have never thought about making a game like that, but it turns out it's quite a good concept for a small quick play game. I think that the controls could be improved by just mapping speed to up and down arrows and heat to left and right, without having to press enter.
The art is very nice !
I'm not sure what you mean by pressing enter, does clicking the buttons not work for you? But I probably should've added some alternate controls, which wouldn't have been too difficult, like arrow keys or WASD as you mentioned.
Thanks for the feedback!
