Didn't feel super NES feel to me because of the dialogue and the controls are awkward because you open doors with the same button as ability but I was super immersed in the world and characters because of the audio and dialogue.
I think I see what this is about. It appears to double as a puzzle game with platforming elements. I would argue the concept works, for sure.
Notes:
- Honestly, the controls did not feel intuitive. I would say the Z & X felt backwards. I kept calling for abilities by accident instead of switching between characters, which made the game unnecessarily more difficult.
- Might want to check your spelling in the game.
- Is Bread supposed to walk 'through' boxes?
- Bonus Point: Your game goes back to the introduction if it sits at the title screen long enough.
Really liked y'alls concept for this one! I liked the art and the conversations that opened up each level. I'd be curious to see how it'd play differently with slightly more forgiving colliders on the guard's lines of sight—there were a few "close calls" where I tripped the guards vision and expected that I'd have just barely slipped by. Thanks for making and sharing your game!
Cool interaction, took me a bit to understand how to open the doors. Also kept losing because the key that calls the guard is the same that skips the text... just unfortunate
I love the gameplay concept. I think it could make for a really fun game if expanded upon
The game is fun, the music is nice, and the need to use the 2 characters is a cool implementation of the theme, but I think the key won't allow me to open this door?
