This is amazing haha. Great mix of humor, visuals, and unbelievably fun gameplay. Thanks for making and sharing your game!

Oh my kuro, the introduction alone was worth it when clicking on this game!  I certainly had fun poking the behinds of all those horses with my lance! :D

Loved this - such a ridiculous concept but it felt great to play and gave me a good laugh.  Drifting felt responsive and the dodging mechanic was a nice touch too.  I agree it doesn't quite feel like a NES game but a neat little game regardless and I liked that you added a proper ending too.

I also checked out your itch.io page and realise you were the dev behind Veni Vidi Vroom for BigMode Jam!  I think you have a thing for drift-like games huh?

Awesome stuff all around!

Thank you! Drifting is always fun and I have a penchant for movement mechanics. So cool to recognize someone from another jam, what a small world.

Love the gameplay and graphics not super NES but Solid and fun game because I love to drift

An thus I defeated the rival king.

I think I faced a bug at some point as the horse got stuck looking left and I could only turn left from there, I went on anyway as because you don't have to follow the road then I still managed to defeat all the knights by doing 360°s.

The game is fun and I agree there was definitely an effort to make it feel like a NES game even if it wouldn't have looked exactly like that. The different tunes are very nice and fitting.

Cool work!

Damn I was hoping nobody would get that bug. I saw it once during testing and was never able to recreate it. Glad you still had a good time!

This is incredible-- I almost have no words for it, but I'll try, haha! While it doesn't necessarily look like an NES game, tt controls like one (and fabulously at that), and the story and atmosphere is insanely goofy. I was laughing the whole time I was playing; would love to see a versus mode for this, haha!

I liked the silly tone of this game. Also the sequel being completed unrelated to the original is something that's very on brand for an NES game even if this would have probably made an actual NES explode trying to run it. Gotta give points for the inventive control scheme though!

Sometimes input feels a bit junkie but it does hits the spot in its NESsness

Developer

Yeah, the movement was definitely a little rushed to get other stuff implemented. Overscoped  a little. Thank you for playing!
