Amazing visuals and atmosphere, seriously great! I tried making a similar Windows PC exploration style game on my last game jam, I completely failed and couldn't do it lol, so I respect this!  I don't really think this applies to the theme though and sometimes it was hard to find out which word to pick, but still great job

thank you, i really wanted it to feel nice to just click around :]

i went more with the "spark change" part of the prompt, i explained more in the very first comment at the bottom of this rating page if you're interested in more of that, but thank you for giving it a shot !

The game is pretty cool but not for everyone, but the visuals are incredible

Developer

thanks for giving it a shot !

Really great visuals, a very different idea for a game that was interesting to explore! Took me a couple of goes to understand exactly what I was supposed to be doing!

Developer

thank you for playing ! i'll definitely try to make some things more clear after the jam, but i'm glad you got the hang of it :]

Hello !

I just tried your game, I love the atmosphere !
The concept is really cool and politically interesting. The loop is simple but efficient.
To be honest, I got frustrated quite a few times when trying to correct messages, as I felt it was hard to guess the correct word to change the sentence (Like you know the problem of the sentence, but you still fail by clicking the wrong word)
I also really like the small secrets you put in your game, it really make you want to search deeper in the game to find more ! (got banned once from the community haha)

Great job on this one, congrats !

Developer

thank you for the feedback ! the correction logic definitely could use a lot more testing and asking people how their brain works so i can adjust it properly if it wasn't a jam game

that's why i gave an in-game option to ask for help with any statement because i didn't want it to feel unfair, but i know a lot of people (including me) would prefer to solve it on their own, so when it doesn't make sense it becomes frustrating
if you remember examples, i would be happy to adjust them when the jam is over :]

thank you for playing and digging around in it, appreciate it !

Hey!

I just played your game,  really stylish and intriguing work! The artstyle definitely stood out. I saw in your description that it was inspired by Mini Gim’s Ignite theme as well, and I was curious, could you share a bit more about how that theme influenced your idea? I didn’t immediately catch the connection while playing, so I’d love to hear how you interpreted it!

Either way, great job . 🙌

sure thing ! i mostly took inspiration from the "spark change" / "light up new idea" part of the theme description

i think the characters in universe of the game are doing what they can to spark change in how people see the world in general

and as you play some people's ability to think more critically does "light up", maybe not perfectly on the first try, but it's a step at least

(if you pay attention to user profiles there's reccuring people you can notice change their way of posting as the days go, just a small glimpse into the ongoing change that was started by you)

and on a meta level of it all, maybe someone playing this game sees how ridiculous some of the bigots sound and it ignites their own compassion for others in the real world

on the flip side there's a possibility it will have an opposite effect, both in game and real life, and it would ignite rage instead

thank you for playing and commenting !
