Fun game! I loved it when the final boss supersized itself. I noticed that a lot of the pixels were a bit jittery—were you using the built-in camera and camera smoothing with godot or use any kind of scaling on your sprites/level art? One thing you might want to consider is tweaking the collision boxes. In some cases, they felt fair, but in others they felt like they could have been either been more generous or a bit smaller to give the player a bit of breathing room (especially when escaping hits from the enemies). Thanks for making and sharing your game!

Axe and giant crab are so cool :0) Even as an unfinished game it feels fun to play!

It's a decent start, for sure!  If you have the chance, this could go for a more developed build!

Notes:

  • Is the crab supposed to get 20x bigger towards the end?  I did find it amusing, but unusual.

Yes, that was on purpose! ๐Ÿ˜†

I saved the princess, it was fun, I agree that the crab getting bigger during the fight was cool.

I think I would prefer if the character would stick to the floor when going downstairs because it feels weird that you can't always jump when doing so.

Thanks for sharing!

Ooo! Thanks for the playing. I will take a look at that. :D

I loved the Crab want to put the graphics to 5 for just that and I like the weapon sprite. I feel like the Knockback from the enemy reminded me of Castlevania so it gave me some tension when I had to fight the 3rd or 4th snail near the edge so I liked that. Sadly seems like the music doesn't loop and the sound effect from hitting the axe was satisfying. I enjoyed playing it for how simple it is. also art style felt more Atari-like but can't wait to play more of your games in the future

Thanks! :) I will take a look at the sound looping going forward. I am happy that it reminded you of Castlevania! That was my inspiration here. :)
