after having played the game for maybe 2 hours, i got jumpscared by some random ghost girl or whatever, which crashed my game. And just like almost all other games from itch.io, it reset my entire game along with all my save files. It was a huge let down because i think this game was really cool up to that point. i think i might have the patience to speedrun my way back to where i was, but whats the point if you're just going to crash and remove my saves again?
None of the ghosts "crash" the game, but there are a small number that will "close" the game.
You say you have issues with other games on itch.io that you lose save files from when they close? Are you sure this is a problem with the games? It really does not sound like it because there is no way the developers of said games have that collective intention.
