I really like this game. The sound, the art and the completely unintended similarities to the real world fit together :D
I'm not sure what I just experienced but I liked it. The sound track was exceptional and I'm really impressed how well this ran.
Maaan, I had the exact same idea! Good we did not go for it :D Nice execution!
Haha, thanks. We could have compared ideas if you had :)
Interesting idea, I love the music and the flavor text. It took a while to figure out how the game worked without reading instructions, but that’s fine. My main complaint with the game design is it seems there isn’t much room for skill expression once you understand how the game works, you just wait for Donnie, buy, spam tacos, sell, and end up with ~$50,000.
Thanks for the feedback, that's a good point! I hadn't really thought too much about how it would scale to longer sessions.
Very entertaining little game. Works flawlessly and its pretty easy to understand.
It is chaotic, which is part of the charm, but that also makes it difficult to grasp what is happening. Unfortunate that the stock market keeps your eyes away from the action :D
Thanks! You're right that the stock chart isn't well positioned and it distracts too much from the rest of the screen. There's probably some better way to place it.
I didn’t realise until reading the comments that I was meant to aim :D. I am an absolute investment legend it turns out.
Very chaotic, reminds me of old flash games. Would be nice if there was a bit more visual distinction between the bulls and the bears, but throwing randomly and just keeping an eye on the stock value seemed to work pretty well!
Phahahaha great, this brings me back to the good old days on Newgrounds. Got a good chuckle out of me hehe Got around $23.000 profits. As a European, that unintentionally reads like I made $23, which sounds realistic :D
I feel like this game is sligthly political...
Nice game, very topical, probably a good reminder for me to stay out of the stock market as the first time through I got -9000 from buying high and selling low. Whoops!
Haha, I got endings for negative returns as well, so you can play it by maximizing your losses if you want!
The art is pretty great, but I find it hard to visually keep track of how actions result in any outcome, feels very random, even tho it seems like it’s not. I like the idea of manipulating the price, but it would be nice to somehow highlight or emphasize when the hits and chain reactions happen, right now you just get a vague sense by how many tacos end up on the screen.
Thanks for the feedback. There's an audio cue when the price is low (<30%) and high (>70%), but I agree that readability could be overall improved.
Though i won't be replaying it, i had fun (low 10k profit is good enough for me). The music slaps and is hilarious.
Really nice game. Very, very good audio and visuals. The only thing is, the controls of buying/selling are very confusing and difficult to understand.
Thanks for the feedback. Everyone is reporting troubles with controls. I should have really prioritized an interactive tutorial or at least one with images. I'll try to get one in when the voting period is over.
The audio is perfect! The objective is not the clearest but rather fun! Good job!
It is incredibly funny and I love the audio. It's very hard to control though and my highscore is only $22 :(
This was actually hilarious - a bit too chaotic and wasn't immediately clear where I had to fire tacos, but the audio was just 10/10
I was actually working on a chaos setting, but didn't manage to finish it it in time unfortunately. Thanks!
