The game has potential as an RPG adventure, but some recommendations; please add the shift to run (you can even add your own run graphic if you want) and the battle balance is atrocious. The battles took too long and there weren't enough abilities to keep the battles interesting either.

Scored low on the adherence to theme because, in my opinion, did not fit the theme of the Jam at all. But that doesn't mean the game is not well mapped, has a good music score that fit the atmosphere of the game, and the story started with a bang.

Fun little game! You created a lot of feeling with the way you handled text and textboxes. Loved it!

- got mauled by a seemingly immortal bear
- saw some pretty hazelnuts
- discovered my right to bear arms
- proceeded to yeet myself into the night

Only thing I would adjust is that the the encounter with "???" had no tension and i kept using the same skill over and over since ??? couldn't hurt me. Congrats on getting this made and submitted!

Thank you for the feedback! First time ever making/finishing an RPG so I was kind of winging it haha That's been a pretty consistent thing I've heard though. The two pieces of equipment were intended originally as an accessibility thing. The stick is a meme but that helm's definitely too strong lol Iirc it brings the damage down from 70 ish to 3. I'll make adjustments for the post-jam update.
