I like the idea, but it felt short.

Thank you for playing and rating. Yeah, we definitely could have done something to make the core gameplay longer.

Though rather simplistic i liked the art. You did a good job on the player feedback but could have  gone a step further too. Like small particles/sound or shake when landing. And i would have made the respawning more comfortable, like being able to retry with single key press as well. For when you showed the abyss in the tutorial i would have even color coded that background of that panel. You only had one real level but made a good use of your traps in that. Its design was good. In overall nothing too special but solid for sure id say. Good job!

Thank you so much for a kind words. I needed that boost today, hahaha!

The most credit goes to our visual specialist, Buttery Games - itch.io, everyone seems to REALLY like the visuals, so a special shout out to him.

By the time we got to the level design process of designing the game, time was already running out, so we had to just submit what had at the time.

Nice game, I wouldn’t have put the charge on the s key because it makes it really hard to charge the jump when using wasd. Nice graphics, not a lot of theme

Developer

Yeah - Sorry about that. That was definitely an oversight. I was going to make the jump button spacebar instead if we had a tiny bit more time.

Cool little game ... a little bit short. A classic jump and run with a charge mechanic to increase speed and jump height. Sadly I never had seen the whale. Gameplay felt nice and the controls were good. Good job

Developer

Fair point - We honestly didn't at all have any good ideas on how to implement the space whale, except to just throw it in the end.

Thank you for playing

Love the art style. Am I supposed to hold down while pressing up? Takes a little finger wizardry I guess haha

Developer

Thank you for playing. Space can also be used to jump. I forgot to mention that in the tutorial. So that's all and all my mistake.

i was hoping for a little more, but the mechanics of charging are really nice :D

Thank you so much
Yeah - We wanted to add more, but unfortunately, we ran out of time.
