Cool art concept! The only issue I encountered was that the UI might be a bit too much in the way,  it distracts from spotting the enemies as they approach. Good job, by the way!

A bit hard to figure out but once I got the hang of it I liked it. The welding bit is a nice touch. Good job!

The art looks amazing and the game was really fun! maybe a tutorial would be nice, but great job!

cool game, the music was great and helped me wanting to play again, but it was hard for me to aim to kill the creatures.

Submitted

Great music! Didnt understand why I was dying until reading the description, even then was a bit confused.

love the pixel art and sounds used!

Nice job. But, aiming is a bit difficult. The shots don't really fallow the mouses position. But, that might just be my crappy monitor messing up the resolution.

Looks great, and idk why but I found it very funny that when we hit enemies, screen shake makes me feel like we are the one getting damaged. It's like our character is going through "It hurts me more than it hurts you" :D
Good job, fun game.

I can no longer unsee the screen shake now xD Thank you for the comment!

I read the page after playing which makes things make a lot more sense. In game text would help explain things. I enjoyed the sound design and was bopping to the music. Visually it was a bit unclear where the walls were vs not, or what damaged me. I enjoyed the visual effect of your health following you around.

Thanks for feedback! I put those purple lines in across the walls to help the player see where they start, but it doesn't seem to have helped much xd Currently the welding minigame damages you quite a lot when they time out so that may be what suddenly hurt you.

the game and sounds and looks really nice, but i didn't understand what's going on

Developer

Thank you, I agree I really need to add a tutorial

Really nice graphics! It just seems to get chaotic so quickly and then I can't understand what's going on.

After everythings been rated I want to go back and tweak values so it shouldn't be as bad. Thank you for the feed back though!

Impressive visuals!

Developer

Thank you!

Side note for any other players; put it in full screen.

Developer

Thanks for this, it's my first game and first time publishing to itch. I think I might have messed up the export some how.

It's good for a first game! You should be proud!

As for the bugs, try looking to see if you hard coded the resolution on one of the components in game. Also an easy fix for the restart button: call `get_tree().change_scene_to_file` and pass in the main file. It should reset everything.

Developer (1 edit)

It's abit more complex than that, I'm doing that but I never built safe guards in so it's trying to do stuff such as looking for player as the frame needs to finish before restarting, but the player. But sometimes the player has already finished its frame and has been cleared ready for the change_scene. Whilst the rest is dependant on player, but now player is gone etc... It's fixable just means refactoring most my scripts lol

Makes sense! Good luck

Fun game, it gets challenging quick. I really love the art style!

Thank you for the feedback!

Really cool game and viusals! It took me a while to understand but figured it out.

Developer

Thank you, unfortunately scope creep caught up and I didn't get time to add a tutorial, you know how it goes!

Pretty fun game, enemy spawn seems to get crazy 30-50 seconds in, objective failure seems to do too much damage, it does actually get pretty addictive.

(+1)

Addictive! Great pixel art work I must say. A few updates and this game will be a great little experience.

It's addictive even with its own jankiness
