Unfortunately I have a terrible graphical bug (flickering grey patterns) that is too painful to continue playing, which is really sad because I did enjoy a lot how it looked and the atmosphere :(

Developer

Oh no that's sad to hear. Out of curiosity did this only happen on the web build or were you able to download one of the available builds. If the issue did persist on a downloaded version can I know what graphics card you're running? Also was it certain areas that had the bug or was it constant?

cool game, I really liked the art style especially the way the pillars and some of the other objects were rendered in the dark. it pulled me onward and made traps effective.

cool game, I really liked the art style, couldn't make it past the first level

This was cool and engaging!  I got to the second level, which was a shock given its so much bigger than a typical jam game.  I really liked the idea of color revealing certain types of things, and it would be cool to explore that more, like if you had blue platforms in the red section and you had to keep going back to change the torch color.  One piece of feedback I have is that I think dying causing you to go all the way back to the level start was too punishing.  The game got low FPS on web and also on my bad laptop, so I was trying to very carefully jump from platform to platform, but then in level two when the platform falls in lava I decided I had to rage quit lol.  Overall very nicely done!

Developer

So sorry about the framerate issues, we were aware of it but just didn't have the time to fix it properly which in hindsight was due to our late testing stage.
I do agree that checkpoints probably are needed, if we update the game we'll definitely be putting them in the levels along with any fixes to the performance we can figure out.

Thanks for playing though! Sorry that we couldn't deliver a more polished version.

Music was great. I though the puzzles were pretty intuitive (if not a little easy). The mouse control felt very strange, almost like a track pad with inertia to the movements.

Developer

Yeah we wanted the puzzles to be on the simpler side at least for the first few levels. We intended to add more with increasing complexity but just did not have the time. In retrospect we could have brought some of the complexity into the second level.

Would you be able to provide more feedback on the mouse controls? I roughly get what your describing but any more information could be helpful in polishing that aspect.

Thanks for playing!

I didn't win, but I did beat the green level. I died several times doing red and have yet to try blue. It would have been nice to have some indicator that you're NOT supposed to light the braziers in the main room with your beginning torch. The music added tension (in a good way!) to the game, and I thought it was a great choice.

Developer

I do agree that we should have added more in terms of player feedback for actions unfortunately we just ran low on time and it escaped our mind.  I'm considering updating the game after the jam so I'll definitely be smoothing out the player experience then.

Thanks for playing and giving the game a go!
