Use of the limitation
The character might lose health in their every move. There are shrines where the player can recover their health at the cost of the abilities (jump strenght, speed, attack). It's also incorporated through the story.

Neat little platformer with some fantastic theming. Every movement feels risky, but I did kind of feel like after a certain point I was just brute forcing levels until I got that one random run where I happened to get to the end with one or two health. Still, it's fun, it's nice to look at, and again, I love the way it's presented, particularly with the windy, watery ambience, and the killer worldlore. Super cool jam project.
Thanks!
I loved how every movement felt risky, it really drove home the “everything at a cost” theme. Well done!
I love the theming on this, I can totally see the fleshy/corruption vibe. This does a very good job of hitting on the limitation, it feels like everything you do, whatever you do, seems to loose you life.
I wish the trade in shrines were more rewarding as well (Maybe even as high as like, +10?). It doesn't feel good to use one for two health, that you may have lost just by trying to interact with it. Also perhaps this is intentional, but I'm pretty sure the jump cost makes the game unplayable.
The star shape, is kind of brutal, though I suppose that's sort of the point XD. Putting a star picture on a rounded rectangle or something would be kinder to the player as far as collisions if that was something you wanted to do.
The atmospheric background audio is quite nice, and the story is a nice touch, and perfectly functional.
Tysm!! I'll try to fix that issue with the shrines post-jam.
Awesome style and a good story!
Really cool! Loved the athmosphere and backstory, the art also suited it really well, you did a good job!, regarding the gameplay I had some issues with the collitions and getting lost, also maybe starting with more health could work better, still really well made for the time the jam took place
Wow the idea is unique and the art compliments it nicely. The random health decay is a little annoying and sometimes I was a bit lost on where to go. I think the best part of this is the in depth narrative and story but overall I liked this a lot.
Very impressive work, well done!
Thanks!
Really like the art style and the presentation of the game but Idn where to go, got lost D:
That atmosphere is so incredibly rich, and while I was sold on the story and presentation I found myself frustrated with the random health loss mechanic getting in the way of progress.
Loved the sounds and art, and it's impressive that it was all put together in 3 days by a single person, well done!
Thank you!
Ahh, painfully reminds me of my first ever projects although i was lacking confidence to post them anywhere (not like my current ones become any better, I just began to throw them somewhere),
P.S.: Sounds are really good, they are literally holding an atmosphere of game
It's nice to see someone trying to create their own games, I'ts only the beginning of the long path, I sincerely wish you good luck on it
Thanks!
I didn't expect this game to build such an atmosphere around it really enjoyed that element of it. An idea like this you should have definition saved for a larger game jam where you get more time for art and implementation
Great job man, i didn't expect a 3 day game jam to produce games with atmosphere like this!
Tysm!
I really love the art style, but I don't like the randomness of decay, and sometimes I guess I just clip in the perfect way and I hear a billion sfx and see a billion particles. Getting health at cost of stats is really interesting!
Thanks! That might be because of the ground collision, I might have to see it later.
I love the weirdness of the game. The art is oddly weird, but in a good way.
Interesting concept, i love platfromers a lot.
Can you rate our game please? 🥺
Played it. Nice job!
Hey! I liked the the art and the parallax background. I think this is a pretty creative idea! As @ZahirZone said it: The random health decay was a little bit frustrating. But overall a cool game!
Great art and a creative concept, but the random health decay while moving was frustrating. The shrines were a neat idea, though. Nice work for a solo project!
The game's visuals are cool, but the controls were a bit too complicated for me. I could only get to the first drop down, and I didn't have enough health to continue.
I liked this project a lot! I think the biggest thing was that since the decay was random when moving, it could feel a little frustrating. Really liked the game!
Thanks!
I loved the artstyle and overall presentation. I feel like I didn't fully understand the decay mechanic, and got a bit frustrated sometimes, loosing health and not knowing why. But that could be just me. Nonetheless, it's a great game and implementation of the limitation!
Thanks! As for the decay mechanic, the player might be damaged randomly when they're moving or when they begin to move, if you stay still, there's no chance you get damage.
This game is fun! Very creative idea and a pretty decently big game! Impressive especially with one person, Good job!
Thanks!
