Really cool entry! I love that steady rhythm played by pizzicato strings throughout most of the piece, it really gave a sense of building as the different elements start swirling around it and darkening the overall mood of the piece. I felt that there could've been a little bit more emphasis on the romantic elements seen in the original artwork, but this piece really sells the impending dread building toward the untimely demise of the two lovers! Great stuff!
this is so tense! :O
The orchestral sound is quite nice! I couldn't help but think about them being like, 'okay, we have 3 seconds to move this xylophone 20 feet back... and now back to the front...' XD. Probably a side effect of how immersive the audio sounds. Perhaps it could have just taken the entire middle section off instead and build up some anticipation for its return.
Clear three sections, like the three panes in the scene. I found it a bit too constrained - by the xylophone in particular. There is a lot of interesting movement by the other instruments though.
This fitted the artwork really well, loved the anticipation and build up. A bit more work at the mixing stage to ensure that the balance between the instruments is more even and this would really shine!
Has a very tense feel to it! I could see this in a game scene where the developers wanted a lot of anticipation to be built up!
Great work here! It fits the theme well.
Dissonance in the first section creates a lot of tension, building to a dramatic resolution at 1:02. Felt the orchestra in that second section could've been a little louder, it's a dramatic moment after all! (and tbh the percussion is little loud compared to the orchestra there). Still, really cool piece.
