How is your game related to the Theme and Special Object?
You 'malfunction' by melting over time and you play as ice cream!

Great level design! Was surprised by the new mechanics introduced at the first few levels. You did a good job in showing the physical properties of melting ice cream. I personally do not think melting is a kind of malfunction XD perhaps a malfunctioning fridge will be a good idea. There so much potentials for this game, like, adding more scoops on top of that?
I actually was originally thinking of adding more scoops, but that idea quickly fell apart because of a lack of time and a good way to implement it. I don’t really plan on adding more to this game but I’m glad I made it still and it’s definitely helped me come up with more ideas for future games!
Where do I begin with this. What a polished game, like WOW :D. It left me wanting to play more of it x). At first I was thingking that the player is kind of slippery, but then it made total sense since I'm literally an ice cream, haha. The soundtrack blends soo well with the very charming art (honestly, the UI and other elements are really well drawn). The concept is really fun as well, and the object implementation is very clever :D. The only advice I can give you is that you can change the jumpig sfx to sth that matches an ice cream (maybe a sfx for when you splash an ice cream?). SInce the object is soft and sort of liquid-ish, it makes sense if it had somewhat splashy sfx when jumping. Overall, very great job! Very disappointing that not many people have tried this game tho :/. Will share the game on discord, cus there's still 3 hours left. Hopefully more people woud try it out ^^
Thank you so much for this! I had a lot of fun doing the art so I’m glad you liked it.
I agree that the sfx could be better too, but sound design isn’t exactly my thing and apart from the music I made this alone so I did the best I could- I also just couldn’t find any sounds I liked haha. Thank you so much for sharing it too!
You're welcome ^^, though idk how many more people ended up trying your game even after I shared it :). If I had found the game earlier, I would have shared it b4 (there was also 3-4 other games that I really enjoyed but had few ratings). Also, being active in the discord really does help advertise your game, you can also try that x). Your game is just better than mine (and it's also better than most of the games submitted). It's a sad reality that people don't play games that are not available on web :/. Good luck on your next jams tho!
Thank you! I think one of the reasons I did so poorly is because the original upload wouldn’t run and it caused someone to rate one stars and with so few ratings it was enough to tank my score 😔
I didn’t include a web build because I’ve had problems with them before using Godot but I’ll probably try and add one next jam.
it's okay, we try and learn :). Also, there's another interesting jam that I've found if you're up to more challange x). Best of luck!
Beat all the levels! Great game design, loved how you introduced new mechanics and actually designed the level around them, like Level 4 for example where you can't just run through all the water. Some cool art too - love the main menu design!
Thank you very much! I’m glad you liked the art- I had fun making all of it!
I don't see a way to play the game. Saw the comment from before. Are you sure you exported it correctly?
Sorry about that- itch automatically set it to hide the download for some reason. It should be fixed now though!
You need to include the .pck file from when it exports because the game can't run right now (same thing happened to me). When you export it I would put it into a folder then zip it
I just fixed it- tysm for letting me know!
