How is your game related to the Theme and Special Object?
All the horses that you race which each have their own unique malfunction, and they eat ice cream to temporarily fix the malfunction.

haha. It probably isn't, but I didn't run into that issue with other downloadable games. I could just hit "keep it anyway" and then play them. This one, however, does not give me any options, thus I couldn't play it :?

Hey guys! We just released a new version of Quirky Derby to download, which fixes a ton of bugs, including:

  • Robot horse no longer unpauses itself when dying 
  • Space works to use ice cream -elephant tomato spawns no longer fixed to bottom right 
  • Headless horse sounds now positional -placement text fixed 
  • Dying no longer sends you backwards to prevent clipping  
  • Elephant only plays the malfunction sound if youre playing as him
  • Windup horse now has speed particles
  • Fixed push logic; no more restricted movement while being pushed by another horse
  • If you don't select a horse, you can spectate the race in a free roam camera using WASD!

We will be continuing to update the game in the future, but it will have a page seperate to this Game Jam.

Horse goes brbrbrbrbr
Aside the game is great, you need to fix that issue asap of the ice cream not working on space bar otherwise people with less patience won't appreciate the game at his current value.
Some horses seems unfair or the description is not accurate i don't know.
The game is banger just because there's the horse with the error windows.

cute and kinda funny. Is kinda glitchy tho and some functionality is missing.

Thanks for letting us know! We are currently fixing a couple bugs, but in the meantime, click on the ice cream button in the bottom right to use the ice cream!

This game has a lot of stuff happening but somehow it isn't overwhelming. I love the designs, especially my glorious king beauford gottieb the second.
