Quite a nice little game with (IMHO) swift controls and good use of the theme.

It was fun playing a platform runner among so many other platformers. The controls could be a tad unresponsive which made levels harder, I would love to be able to switch gravity while mid air. The soundtrack was banging tho, loved that

Good job! This is a good first game.

A couple suggestions:

  • Add an indication for how fast your character is going
  • Utilize or expand the color palette in a different way to distinguish between danger and safe game objects.

I refuse to believe that this is your first game, it's really good!

Feels really fun especially when you get good at the levels and can fly through the levels!

Love the pixel art and style you've got going on here. This was a fun and quick play! I do wish there was a tad bit more contrast between the background and the foreground elements. I found myself running into the foreground elements often as they were hard to discern from the background ones, especially when moving faster and faster. Thanks for making and sharing your game!

Nice game! Felt like the Google Dinosaur game but with a cool twist🔥. Great job!

I'll make sure to check your project out :)

Very good though I did find it very difficult to tell what could kill me as I was going very fast and most hazards blended in with the environment but other than that great work!

I absolutely agree, I attempted to have objects you collide with at the beginning of each level and used the ghosts to indicate it further, however I agree It needs a better solution - that isn't putting yellow paint on the obstacles. Thank you for the feedback!

I'll make sure to check out your work :)

Very good, I found the gravity inversion mechanic well done, but I thought the speed buildup felt a bit strange. It would be nice to have a button to activate it while moving. Other than that, the game is really good, great work.

Developer

Thank you so much! I think adding a button to add timed speed up boosts would be a really great way of adding more player agency. I will note that the current speed buildup may feel strange due the player not being smooth with the background - an issue i think was from physics_ and non_physics process's being funky.
