Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
Little Soup follows the story of Little Mouse, a young living in solidarity, longing to find a family of her own. As she searches for different animals to share soup with, the player discovers the power of generosity that can build and foster new connections. The creators of Little Soup aim for players to be immersed in the vibrant and lively world that follows Little Mouse, and we hope that players are encouraged to build connections within the game, the world, and other people around them.

I'm shocked this doesn't have more reviews! I adore the character design and their expressions during the dialogue as well as the music, they're absolutely adorable and create such a charming atmosphere~ The interactions are all wholesome and I like seeing this little found family come together and bond over warm soup.

My few issues are similar to what others have said. Sometimes items wouldn't drag into the pot. There often isn't a cue of what you're supposed to do (i.e. where to go to get more tomatoes and dragging the seeds to plant them). Jumping required specific precision in some spots which could be a little troublesome. Even when I already have an ingredient, the game will still ask me to go grab another. It was also odd to see the Little Mouse had vegetables in her home but still had to go out and farm more, I don't think that's the best visual choice.

However, all these are minor issues for me, but I think a bit improvement could go a long way to improving the gameplay experience. Overall, a super neat entry, kudos to your team!

Excellent art direction and design, very cute and heart-warming :)

Some issues/bugs I ran into:

- the jump length/height could be a tiny bit longer, making it easier to jump across the holes
- I didn't know I had to drag the seed for my required vegetable into the patch, so a tutorial note for the controls would be good!
- when I was trying to drag items into the item slots/pots, it let me despite not having any, but no cooking proceeded, instead my cursor was an onion until I harvested a vegetable
- I couldn't make the second soup because I somehow couldn't drag the fish into the pot, despite having 3 in my inventory
- when eating with the platypus, our mousy suddenly is twice the size sitting on the chair
- a bit of a personal taste one but having racks full of vegetables at home while having to farm new vegetables for ingredients technically doesn't make a lot of sense - even if this is storage for winter season, it would make more sense to take from the rack and then replenish it by growing new crops.

The game is looking really polished, the character expressions are varied and I enjoyed the game mechanics. I appreciate that there are mouse/critter-sized items as well as large human items like buttons and spindles of string. I love the idea of building a little community with soup in the burrow! I'd love to see this type of game with ways of expanding the burrow and creating underground mushroom farms, etc. Thinking like terraria x stardew, which would be very different to the current game! But taking this idea would make for a great game to consistently return to to build further. Other than that, with its current design, it could also make for a really nice children's game, thinking of forest critter illustrations by Beatrix Potter and games like Pettson and Findus!

I love the art in this one! soo cute! and the environment as well! I also like that we have to farm, fish and cook!

Some things to improve: Jumping across the holes was a bit annoying when navigating our house, maybe have an option for climbing instead? Or make the jumping bigger. I also noticed that the walking animation was still playing when the ui opened. Also when I put the lettuce and fish in the soup and I didn't get anything in return. By the way I would prefer a different click sound. Adding a turning page sound would be nice when opening the book, and different sound when planting etc, would be perfect.
Very wholesome theme and game :)

Hooray for soup!!!

The art is fantastic and the story is incredibly wholesome, so I was surprised this received so little reviews. Unfortunately there's a pretty sour bug with clicking on items and adding them to the soup. I was unable to add fish to the fish soup, and whenever I tried to reset it would eat all the ingredients I put in. I restarted the game a couple times before I hoarded ingredients, but the clicking/interact noise was getting repetitive so I took a break.

With a few bug fixes and polished interactions, this is a game I would love to keep playing. You made some pretty good soup here!

Awesome art and the controls are very intuitive! Somehow both of our teams came up with very similar concepts, but with massively different execution, I was super surprised when I saw this. Great game and very fleshed out!
