I had a good time with this one, trying to balance the boxes in the cart was a nice challenge. How quickly the cart could turn meant I never hit an obstacle, lowering the turn speed could definitely ramp up the challenge. Still had a good frantic time!
Super fun and polished entry! I loved the premise and the attention to detail, but as others have pointed out, there's a lot of idle time during each round. Adding sub goals of some kind (or even just shortening up each round) would help to keep things moving along. Thanks for helping Evilcorp Inc round up all the fish!
Ok, this has to be the craziest of all the jam entries! It was worth submitting it a little late, right? The music helps to sell how weird is. :D :D :D
There is something... fishy... about that place. Who the spotted heck keeps a storage facility with boxes of fish filled with bumps on the floor?! That's invitation to an accident! Worse, someone may drop fish out of their cart and damage them! Talk about a waste of good inventory... Now, I'm know I'm carping and whalin' over this... but I'm net that kind of buoy, sea? :(
I had fun trying to keep as many boxes in the cart as possible, though I started having real problems when I hit 13.
Notes:
Thank you! I am glad you had a blast!
And thank you for letting me know how to fix it the timer! I have updated it to include that small fix (and an ability to pause ;) )
Whoa, you are god-tier Unity coder! :D :D :D
Fun and quirky with simple, clear mechanics! Although.. I was a little unclear how much tilting affected me. I would get 12-15 boxes and start losing them no matter what, so I felt like that was close to the maximum.
I think with the time allotted, there was enough time to do delivery quests! Like returning them to a checkpoint and see how many I could gather in the time allowed. For now, I got 12-15 and just kept going around for fun but wasn't sure what my objective was.
I liked the music and at one point I couldn't help but steer to the music lol. Also loved the cat character and the art direction overall! Fun times, good job!
Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the game
I would have loved to do something along the lines of delivery quests! I might still add those at a later date when the ratings are over.
Sadly I am just one person and also had real life responsibilities to take care off on top of the jam :(
One of my friends did the music for me and I think they did a great job, it's perfectly whimsical and energetic. It fits the vibes so well.
I enjoy fun little ideas like these. I think there was a bit too much time, considering I ran around in circles, looking for more boxes, but I can see how with some polish, it would be a good mechanic for a kid's game :) This could have used a few frustrated cat sfx when losing some boxes XD
