Made it to the top! Very very cool idea for a game, I would love to see an expanded version with more mechanics. This could make a really neat roguelike or dungeon-crawler. The attack, magic, and block system was really cool and different, but the different powers on the dice were super neat, it gave depth to which die I'd use in each slot rather than just always use the biggest number. An upgrade system for the dice could be really neat with this game, being able to upgrade the number of sides, but also enchant them with different types (witchy, poison, sharp, etc.). I hope you keep working on this, definitely my favorite game this jam.

Very fun to see a dice game here! I really enjoyed the battle mechanics, but I found the UI a little confusing. Instead of having a single button called "The Button" it might be worth considering updating its text dynamically on based on the action the player was being asked to take, or maybe even changing the layouts in some fashion to make it even clearer what phase of the battle the player is currently in. Thanks for making and sharing your game!

Thanks, will definitely try to do better UI next time

Oooh, a dice game!  I have not seen one of these in very long time, maybe it's even my first one I have seen in a jam.  I liked the mechanics of not just having different sided dice, but also different dice types along with their advantages and drawbacks in battle.  It was very fun and well-thought out!

Notes:

  • Clicking a continue multiple times during a transition causes the transition scene to be performed multiple times.
  • the transition seems to happen twice after ending a battle.

That was fun! I liked the dice mechanics and the choices of each round! I didn't really struggle with most enemies, partially because the vine DEF was soooo good! I didn't mind it being too easy though, because it made my playthrough fun and light, so I could enjoy the story. I liked the little cutscenes and story text! Great job :)

Thanks a lot. Yeah, the Vines defense was supposed to be a one-time thing. You gain full protection, and then the die becomes debuffed for the round. But I hadn’t coded it at first, and later just decided to roll with it. Espesially due to the lack of time :) Also, having multiple Vines Dice was a huge boost. It pretty much guarantees you invinsibility every round

I’ve had a lot of fun developing the game, as well as making cutscenes and trying to write something decent

I enjoyed the dice mechanics from this game more than I expected. At first fumbled a bit and accidentally removed good dice, but as soon as it clicked, I was excited for the next combat! I managed to finish all the way to the end :D Good job!
