  • "I really love Potionomics! It's a novel re-imagining, using ingredients to balance out a mish-mash leftover potion. The characters felt distinct in their writing and the story was fun and snacky. My only writing critique was that the owl's tone shifted a bit too much, he wasn't the most consistent voice. Bits like the ""health overlords"" were much appreciated for world-building, but I would have loved some names and flavour text about the ingredients themselves. The art is gorgeous and I appreciated the use of different fonts and SFX for character voices. The snake saga of getting glitter bombed and calmed down was funny, but it highlights the weakness of the central story - I wish my progress and score was tracked more meaningfully and had story consequences. E.g. will my potions master be annoyed at me when he gets back or with they give me some gummy goblins?"

The art was a real standout here - the designs of all the customers were nicely varied and with different typefaces to add personality. I like the writing as well, though sometimes it felt long even with the ability to make it go faster.

I like the potion mechanics, though I found I was leaning on certain items more often because it felt clearer what effect they would have. The slow, comfortable pace overall was lovely.

A fun reimagining of Potionomics, I liked having to manage my mish-mash potion and all of the characters felt distinct and fun. Great art, but I feel bad for the poor emo snake :(

The ability to skip the text was a thoughtful touch that helped with pacing, and the owl character was especially endearing even with him as grumpy as he was. ;)

Overall, the art style and presentation were delightful, and the Itch.io page felt very polished and inviting. Definitely a charming and memorable game!

the art and characters are really good, and the owl is really funny. The gameplay is really fun as well even though it is simple, although maybe try to add a little bit more depth in creating a potion.

Love the characters and design. Almost has a nostalgic feel to it

I think I poisoned a handful of clients before getting it right. I love the art and music.
