The level flip bugged for me multiple times, resetting my progress within the levels. I looked past the bug (we are in a jam and bugs will exist) and experienced a great game. I thoroughly enjoyed my playthrough!
I do wish that the jump mechanics were mapped out differently. They took a while for me to grasp, but I do like the idea of your character jumping or dashing in the direction of your mouse location.
Nice interpretation of the theme! (not too dissimilar to mine). At times it felt like I was fighting the controls but wasn't impossible to figure out. Possible improvement: let the air dash be used from the ground. The regular jump is so small that the only purpose it serves is to allow the dash ability to be used. It just feels like adding an unneeded layer making the dashing less intuitive and less responsive. Overall a great first game with a cool concept!
Cool Game I really like the Idea of flipping the map the was very fun. I must admit I only made it to second level. Great work making all the assets and coding yourself its tough getting everything done yourself with a time crunch. Thanks for the game.
For the first game this is great!
my (beginner, as well) advice: Timer is not needed, tripple jump can be on spacebar too, fullscreen support.
Otherwise it's great. Check out other submissions, there are few very similar, maybe you can learn a thing or two, see for youself what works and what not. Jams are not about winning, don't worry, you won as soon as you submitted the game, great job!
Hey this game is actually really fun but takes a bit of time to learn the controls. I know you might have not had too much time but a small tutorial explaining the controls would be nice (i know you say the controls in the description but usually its better to show them in game). Also i thought initally the timer was quite punishing but i think all the levels are actually pretty doable in 30 seconds. add some audio and music and this game would be very good
Has a lot of potential, I'd say the biggest thing holding it back is that the timer is too punishing and the fact the camera is zoomed out to the point the player is hard to see
fix jumping too low cause it isn't playable >_< (yeah, can't past even first level)
Use your air dashes
