I'm really digging the ambience in this game, but I do think the controls were a bit strange to understand if you didn't click to the menu for the help screen. Additionally, I think there should be some way to more clearly tell the player what to do to progress as I often got stuck throughout the game. Nice work on this game!

Heya ! Thank you for taking the time to play our game !!

Actually yes... Maybe  the  controls are easy to get, our mistake !

We're taking note, probably it wasn't that clear to understand.

Art & Style:

The pixelated 2D art style is simple but effective. It suits the platformer format well and contributes to a cohesive visual atmosphere.

Audio & Environment:

The sound design and overall environment are well done, helping to create a solid mood for the game. The in-game dialogue text that appears as the player moves is a particularly nice touch.

Gameplay & Concept:

While the game is titled In a Box, the connection to that theme isn’t immediately clear during gameplay. The core mechanics suggest a detective-style platformer, but without strong thematic cues tying back to the title.

Areas for Improvement:

Movement: Player movement feels jerky and delayed — more polish is needed to make it feel smooth and responsive.

Clarity & Instructions: Some clearer guidance or tutorial elements would help, especially when players get stuck.

Controls: Consider adding controller support and improving overall responsiveness.

Overall Impression:

This is a solid submission with standout art, sound, and atmosphere. With some improvements to player movement and gameplay clarity, it could be a very strong experience. Great effort!

Hey ! Thank you so much for your feedback ! Very appreciated !

As you saw, we didn't have time to develop the lore as much as we would've like.

Personally it was my first game jam so I'm taking in consideration your suggestions !
