Really good job! And your first gamejam at that! Very impressive. The game felt great to speedrun, just holding right and no breaks. At first I was wondering why I wasn't jumping that high, but realized I had hold the jump button a bit longer to jump higher. Whilst playing I was wondering how exactly the limitation was implemented which after reading the description on the submission makes sense to me although it would have been nice if you figured out a way to implement it as a mechanic somehow. Excellent job and hope to see your future gamejams too ;)

Use of the limitation
The name Chicken a Box sets the tone. My character, Chicky, is literally still in a box. He hasn’t fully hatched yet, so he’s stuck in his eggshell. The enemies are all box-themed too. The intro plays off this idea, with Chicky escaping a box... only to still be boxed in by the world. Kind of paradoxical if you ask me.
Cookies eaten
I literally had 2 snack packs of Oreo cookies to celebrate finishing the game!
