I've never been much of a FNAF person but this game was well done. For some reason I really loved the fan shadow rotating around :D. Voice acting, sound, and visuals were all great. Well done!

So I was impressed, but I had a few issues.

My main issue is, why can't I just turn off the vents, lights and hide in the locker? Like I don't really understand what's preventing me from doing that, besides the game won't let me.

But my real issue is, I really can't tell what robot is wandering around and is close to the office. The camera being a green color, while makes sense, makes the robots look too similar to each other.  Maybe something simple like different stomping sounds or something simple like that.

Could just be me though because I am really bad at FNAF.

Thank you for playtesting my game! And for pointing out unique issues with the game. The logic behind why the player is only allowed to use one security measure is currently pretty dull and therefore ruins the immersion so I'll definatly try to come up with something better. However the ability for unique enemies to stand out from each other on the camera feed is extreamly important so I'll be adding that to the top of my list to fix right now. My main recurring issue as a game developer has always been underexplaining the most important game mechanics, so I'm very curious to see if you managed to beat the game or at least counter an attack or two. The video you linked below (which I assume is a gameplay video of my game) is currently set to private, so I can't watch it. If you could make it public or grant me access, it would really help me identify and fix as many issues as possible.

I wasn't able to beat the game but (video will be viewable in two days) does show me "countering" some attacks.

The voice acting?? Absolutely stole the show. So expressive and full of character, it gave the whole experience way more life than I expected. The art and concept are solid, and I get the FNAF inspiration, but the gameplay felt a bit too passive for me. I found myself just clicking through without much happening. Still, there's potential here if more interaction or tension gets added.

Developer

Thank you! I'm happy you liked the voice acting and im glad that you provided some constructed critisism. You find the gameplay to be too boring which is what I'll be aiming to fix but considering that I have no video source of anyone playing I must ask, did you manage to beat the game or atleast counter an attack? If so that means that the game was too easy for you and thats why its boring and I could add some enemy for player to interact with in the background. If you did not than the game might be boring because I failed to explain the game and adding more enemies would ruin it further. Your answer would help so much but either way thanks for playing!

I actually did manage to beat the game on my 6th try! The first 3–4 times, I didn’t realize I had to press Space to counter (turn around), so I just ended up staring helplessly while they attacked. Once I figured that out (by accident), it became much easier to get through.
For the instructions part, something like “Press Space when they get close” would help. Once I understood it, I did feel like a little more tension or a second threat in the background could take it further.

Ahh thank you, This is extreamly helpful feedback!

Cool game! This was a pretty well-executed FNAF style game. The art for the environment and animatronics was excellent. The voice acting is top-notch as well! Gameplay wise, I did feel that it was a little hard to get a sense of where the animatronics are relative to you. Some of the animation (such as going into the locker or turning off the lights) felt really slow to me as well. Great work! It was a fun game to play.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the game. So for the animation I wanted to make them specificly a bit slower to add tention, if the player will be fast enough to complete the animation before dying. Do you think that they caused more frustration than tension?

Submitted

I personally thought it was more on the frustrating side but that is just my opinion. Maybe someone who’s more into FNAF type games would think differently.

Oh this was really cool, the atmosphere is really well done! the fnaf style aesthetics works great, good job! XD

Thank you!

actually pretty good game, I like how it's a fnaf style game, I haven't seen one of those in a long time, the gameplay is pretty good but I think the sound is also good, The jumpscares could've been improved but for what it is it's good.

Developer

Thank you! Did you find the gameplay to be confusing? Or underexplained?

nope, it was stated in the radio :)

Oh god, it's a FNAF-style game. Never played one, as I am terrified of those. I'm afraid of being prejudiced here as I'm really far removed from this genre of horror games, but I'll try to give my honest opinion.
The art looks great: the environment seems detailed and models of animatronics have that particular vibe they're supposed to have. I wish there was a bit more detail to the environments you see on security cameras: for now the locations seem barren and samey, with the single repeating checker texture everywhere.
As far as implementation goes, it's really great that you have actual animated security cameras with stuff moving on them. I think it really adds to the experience.
One minor gripe I have is that I couldn't really figure out the layout of the place to make a judgement call on how close the animatronics are in relation to my room. But probably it's just a question of familiarizing myself with the game and playing more.
So far I think it's a great effort, the game is scary, there's some good voice over there too. Good work on making this!

Developer(+1)

Ah Thank you! Im happy that despite your experience with other similar styled games you still played it and rewieved it! I couldnt manage any playtesting unfortinatly so I don't know if more "key" mechanics were understandible enough. Did you figure out the way to counter each of the animatronics?

Submitted

Of course, it's stated in the voice over in the beginning. You hide from the red one in the locker, for the green one you turn off the light, and vent for the purple one, without a leg.
Figuring out which one is coming for you is a more difficult matter though.
