The production quality on this track is really good. Solid ambient pads and the post rock guitar sound is really nice, did you record this from a cab or are you using plugins on a dry guitar track? With the drums, I think the cymbals sound really good, I'd say the kick sound could possibly replaced for something else, but that is only a very minor complaint. In general, the tune has some nice vibes and the last part is a nice conclusion. The pacing just works so well. It would have been even better if you ramped it up even more towards the end, but thats just my personal preference, since I really like post metal, but I think that would have improved the already good pacing.

Thanks for the comment! I'm glad someone hears the post rock inspiration in my work.
Right now I just record my guitars directly, without amps or cabinets. Plus I tend to use physical effects. I'm hoping to eventually get myself a decent guitar amp mic to start recording live sounds though!
Drums are something that I feel is one of the areas I need to work quite a bit more one. I'm trying to write my own parts now, and I'll hopefully look for some better sounding parts in the future.
I'd agree with your last comment that it could be even more intense in the final section. I'm just not much of a post metal fan (weirdly) so at the time of recording this I felt like I hit my ceiling in terms of intensity, but I totally get where you're coming from!
Thanks for taking the time to listen :)
I really liked that you decided to choose this particular side, I was counting on this kind of thinking. Yes, I agree, even though humans are social beings, it's a living hell to be in a society. Remembering the quote “kill or be killed”. Or there is a third option - do not show up at all, so that your existence is not known to all. Yes, it's easy, it's peaceful, but it's painful in its own way.
Absolutely!
Being too complacent with my own space is something I've struggled with quite a bit, especially during COVID. Which is why having these music communities on itch has been such a positive change of pace for me. It can still be uncomfortable to put my work out here, but it makes me a healthier person and (hopefully) a better musician.
Thanks a ton for taking the time to listen to my work :)
Just realized I didn't add a description in the page submission 🙃
My thoughts for my submission:
When I think about society, I think about togetherness and being able to accomplish our goals alongside others. But I also think about how alone a lot of people feel in today's society, with many people being hesitant to reach out to others either because they want to or they need to. And in some cases people are persuaded to remain alone and isolated from society in the name of independence, even to the detriment of their own well being.
For me, "Together We Thrive" is a kind of call to action for those of us that struggle to reach out to others. I tried to represent that with hazzy pads and a lone guitar part. Additional instruments early on is an attempt to reach out to others, but shortly falls back into its solo part. The final section is the result of trying again and being successful in achieving that togetherness. Sometimes they speak in the same voice, but can also compliment each other with unique voices.
Hope you all enjoy :)
