My submition for OPR Mission Jam 1. My take on what a small version of a "Horde" game mode mission would be.

This mission read very cleanly, not finding any major issues, overall pretty neat! Just some minor notes:

  • It should probably say somewhere that the Signal Tower doesn't get activations (as it is a unit, it normally would, but I assume the intent isn't for the tower to start running around)
  • "If the “Signal Tower” is destroyed or if all of the Defender units are destroyed, Attacker wins." — since the Signal Tower is also a unit and belongs to the Defender, the second clause is redundant (or should say something like "all of the Defender's other units")
  • Veteran Tactics leaves ambiguous whether you need to choose one option for your whole army of if you choose for each unit individually

1: Fair enough that is true. The intention is that it doesn't move, it's a stationary objective.

2: If we're going with the above assumption then it works as written, if not I understand why it can be confusing.

3: Each unit individually.

You absolutely nailed the 'ever-growing numbers' theme with those dynamic attacker reinforcements each round, and the defender's buffs are a great touch. I especially loved that you specified the Signal Tower's height for LoS.  However, I feel the army point recommendations for the attacker could be clearer; either a fixed total or a percentage in the attacker table would make setup smoother. 'Bring twice or more' feels a bit loose. Still, the core concept and theme are incredibly strong. Great job!

Thanks for the feedback and the kind words, The specific reason as to why I didn't do percentages is because at the time of writing the exact reinforcement number hadn't been set in stone and because people are bad at Percentages; so fixed numbers helps alleviate that problem. I eventually concluded that a fixed recommendation of an extra 1000-1500 points would be better due to the possibility of the Attacker rolling 6s on each round. Unlikely to happen, but I have had that happen.
