Hello, thank you for participating in the first OPR Mission Jam! Please email marketing@onepagerules.com so that we can send you the participation models! Please include 'OPR Mission Jam Participation Minis' in the subject line.
I would be interested in playing this. I imagine that the lightning can be quite frustrating for some players, but other players like to add random effects to their games. So, it can be a bit hit-or-miss. I also saw that the diagram doesn’t match what is written in the mission.
needs more clarification on the “search the wreckage" action. Does this replace any melee or shooting action or happen automatically? Clarification needed on the table size, battlefield sections indicates a 6'x4' table and the diagram is 3' wide.
I intended it to replace Shooting/melee, should have clarified it better.
As for the table, that's just me messing up and not changing the central 12" to 24".
Could benefit from a little more editing, & I don't see a very strong adherence to the Growth theme, but some cool ideas in here! I'm curious how this works in practice, with units going to & from their deployment zone. I can see how conflict is inevitable, but I wonder if the back & forth would drag the game out a little bit.
You're right, the growth theme isn't very strong, being only that the communication towers were "growing" in height, but that is shaky at best. I only thought of a way to improve that theme linkage after the end of submissions phase, in that the storm could grow, affecting only a small number of units initally, but growing in number of units threatened by lightning each round.
The back and forth definatley does drag the game out, again only thought of a fix after the submissions phase, in making it so there are only a set number of parts so the two armies would have to fight over them more readily and reduce their numbers, making it so that if one side is completely desimated, the other side wins automatically, which isn't teh case as of now, the game just dragging on until all 5 parts are taken to a communication tower even if there are no hostile units left to oppose them.
Sounds great! Yeah, I get it. Right after submitting I realized (through comments & my own hindsight) several things I could improve about my own mission as well. But, we do what we can. Good work.
